That’s a wrap. We’re at capacity and no longer taking in any new work, likely until next August. Thank you to all who’ve reached out. Time will now be spent getting the existing customer work out the door. Like this dandy crappie chasing the lure it was caught with. (11/30/2023).

🦌🦌Today is the day. A Michigan tradition, a sportsman’s holiday. It’s the opening day of firearm deer season. Keep this image in mind if you harvest a deer you'd like to mount. The last thing you want is to cut off a section of the deer cape your taxidermist needs. Happy hunting, be safe, and shoot straight!

An unfortunate but necessary post. Please recall, Cassel Taxidermy operates By Appointment Only. Appointment being the key word. It’s been noted that over the past year a flux of new and existing customers have shown up for set appointments at least 30 minutes late or later, or simply not at all. This takes away from other client appointments, my time, and my families time. Effective September 1, 2023 a new late/no show fee of $25 will be added per occurrence. Late will be considered anything 20 minutes after your set appointment without prior notice to Cassel Taxidermy. (note - life happens. No worries. Just communicate your delay) The takeaway: make an appointment and show up on time. Thank you and happy hunting!

More scales head out the door. UP brown trout, carrying some of the most beautiful yet varying colors, they thrive in our cold lakes, rivers, and streams. (8/1/2023)

Mounts continue to roll out the door. Like these (2) walleye pulled right out of the St. Mary’s River. Even included a crawler harness on the one to compliment the scene. (7/18/2023)

Love the way pronghorn mount up in this pose. Upright right turn. Such beautiful critters. Always a pleasure working on western game. (6/13/2023)

40” stud of a Chinook (king) salmon. Love putting all the fine detail on fish like this. Each scale is enhanced with chromes and other beautiful iridescence which is time consuming and a tedious task. But the results are worth it. 🐟(5/1/2023)
