This is the story of a tool that served me well. I used it for more than thirty years. I can’t even begin to try to figure the number of nails it has driven. It was less than 6 ounces but drove from 3’s to size 12 and did it’s job with little effort. The hammer is just a small amount of metal and a piece of wood but to me it’s a wealth of memories. Some were of great and some were of disappointments but even those taught me something about the wonderful trade I had the opportunity to participate in for most of my life. I hope that the people that read this will get the opportunity to feel the love of this wonderful craft God chose for me long before I ever knew what journey I would learn to love so much. Thank you Gene and Bob Rice for helping me develop my love for handmade tools.
