JULY 4th.2025
The 4th.July will be on a Friday this year, the perfect day of the week for a fly-in. We are hoping to have some Paramotors visit this year. They fascinate me and seem to be getting more popular. I have not priced any but I would predict that they cost less than a new airplane. Plenty of camping and parking space with WC and showers available. I will add more information as it becomes available.

There will be a Fly In / Camp In at Grand Oaks on the weekend of November 14-16 2024. This will coincide with the Chapter 354 monthly breakfast. Put down the date and more information will follow.

Had some unusual aircraft at out July 4th. Fly-In. Always a lot of fun. Thanks to all that came.

It is Sunday, almost the end of June 2024. Getting ready to cut the runways ready for the 4th. July. Everything is in place and hoping for decent weather. Arrive any time you wish, food will be all day and we have plenty of ice.
Camping area is ready for those arriving early, you can cool off in the pool. Plenty of parking.

We are planning another Fly-In / Camp-In the weekend of April 19-21st. at Grand Oaks Plantation. The information is all on Air-Nav under Grand Oaks Plantation. 1GA6.. The best phone number is 229 407-0200, I get a lot of crazy calls so you may have to text for me to call you back. Or email [email protected]. Lots of good camping spots, swimming pool and showers. We do have a commercial ice machine in the hangar.

July 4th. 2023
It will be here before we know it. Having another Fly In at Grand Oaks Plantation. All the info is on AirNav. 1GA6, please note the frequency that we will use during the event. Typically I use 122.8 to communicate with Dawson and crop dusters in the area. Our official frequency is 122.9 so that is what we need to use that day.
We will have camping this year, for those going to OSH this will be an opportunity to check out your gear. Showers and plenty of water available. We have one 50 amp 220v for a big camper or motorhome. several 120v 20 amp. Bring you own tie downs although we have plenty if you forget.
Breakfast of sorts will be provided and then lunch will be pot-luck but I will have a few burgers and hotdogs etc. And loads of ice tea.
If you would like to arrive as early as Saturday or Sunday I can put you on a tractor rolling the runways.
When I went camping with the plane for the first time (Triple Tree) I had a lot of stuff that I did not need, and was short of stuff that I did need. This would be a good practice for OSH and close enough to Sam's and Walmart to get in shape.
Have hangar space and tools for any unexpected maintenance issues.

For us folks who are concerned about global warming we have set up a charging station for the electric cars. Any electric planes need to bring your own plug.

The hangar door is almost complete, got it wired up today and it works beautifully. Hope to have all the outside work completed this weekend.

Another great day, half the roof is on and should complete roof on Monday. The door is going to be the fun part 70' wide and 16' opening.
