We don’t know what else to do for Jake. He’s our longest resident and keeps getting overlooked — even though he’s one of the happiest, sweetest dogs we’ve ever met.
If you see this post, please don’t scroll past. Hit the ❤️, comment something, or share it to your page. Facebook hides our posts unless people interact — and we just know Jake’s forever family is out there somewhere. They just haven’t seen him yet
Jake is about 5–6 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, great in the car, and loves other dogs after proper intros. He does well with older respectful kids who understand dog boundaries and is happiest when he’s near people.
Help us get his story out there. One share could change his life.

Help Lucky if you can

Lucky update:
You may remember several weeks ago we posted that Lucky was very sick and coughing up a ton of blood from a severe case of heartworms. She has been at our vet since then, but she has been up and down.

She was improving on prednisone (steroid)… but as soon as she was taken off, she started to crash.

Her platelets are still low. She still gets very, very out of breath even just going out for a quick bathroom break. This could all be from the heavy load of heartworms, or she could have an autoimmune disorder. The vet sent out her labs to a specialist to get some answers. We are waiting for the results.

We had to decide- do we risk treating her heartworms? What are the chances of her recovering?

With a case like Lucky, to be brutally honest, either option is very risky and can result in death. We believe that we should give her a chance with treatment- and our vet agreed it was the right choice. Left untreated, she would die a slow death.

Please pray for her. She deserves a chance and we hope she is able to pull through. We can’t thank our veterinarian enough for taking such great care of her (and all of our LaMa dogs)!

If you’d like to help with her continued care, please call McMahen Vet at 318-539-5114 or visit our website.

What is wrong with people. She has a long road ahead of her.

How much would you pay to slime Michelle Benson Lewis? Just a hypothetical question 👀

If we raise enough tomorrow at our Jordan's Way x Grand Opening event, you just might get your chance to see it happen!
