OK, this made me cry as so, many of my emails and messages do regarding our past litters. Two of our little girls at 15 years old,🩷🩷🥰🥰
Hi Joe and Shirley,
15 years ago today, Holly and Duelly had a beautiful litter of puppies. Two of those puppies, Miss Aqua and Miss Purple, were picked by a loving family and became Snickers and Oakley. They arrived at their new home two months later, on July 1st, 2011.
Now here we are after those years ago, celebrating the 15th birthday of not one, but both of them!! They’ve been the best family members ever, and words cannot express how grateful we are to have been entrusted with their care all these years.
Snickers hasn’t been much for retrieving, per se, as she would have rather watched her sister chase balls than chase them herself. She has been instead the cuddler, the one who would rather be by her mom and dad than spend her time any other way. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She’s been my “shadow and guardian angel puppy” since the day we brought her home. She is now pretty fragile but still has her loving personality. She enjoys the wind on her face and fur and will shake her head when she has a “frisky moment.”
Oakley has been the “athlete” of the two. She has a streak of mischief and rebellion, which is amusing and lovable at the same time. At 15, she can still go on walks (but no big hills), likes to play, and bounces like Tigger when she’s happy, excited, or hungry. Although she too has slowed down, she still has a lot of spark left.
We realize the last few years have awarded us “bonus time” with these two, and we have appreciated every single day with them. They’ve lived very healthy lives up to this point, too. We just wanted to bring you two into the birthday celebration, let you know they are still with us, and again thank you for bringing us together those many years ago.
