🚨 The Great AC Heist of June 1st 🚨

Well… someone out there decided our air conditioner and specimen box looked like a good souvenir. On Sunday, June 1st, a person (with questionable taste) helped themselves to the AC unit that keeps our boarding pets cool during the swampy South Carolina summers — and our specimen box, which is used to transport glamorous items like... urine and blood. 💅

We get it. Nothing screams “steal me” like a worn outdoor AC unit and a white IDEXX box filled with p*e samples. 😑

If you happen to see someone trying to sell a gently-used AC unit or an oddly medical-looking white box, maybe kindly suggest they return them to their rightful home. No questions asked — though we do have more security cameras now. 😉

Good news: our furry guests are staying cool thanks to a brand-new AC unit, and we’ve beefed up our security to keep future bandits at bay. 🐾❄️

One of our greatest joys at Santee Animal Hospital is educating and mentoring future veterinarians! We were thrilled to welcome Micah, a fellow Clemson alum, for a three-week externship full of learning, laughter, and hands-on experience.

Our team absolutely fell in love with her, and we’re all sad to see her go. There’s nothing more inspiring than working with someone as smart, compassionate, and driven as Micah. We know she’s going to do amazing things in this field!
