UPDATE!!! We still have no new lambs hitting the ground. At this point, any lambs born from here on out will be perfect for August–October fairs. We’ve confirmed that Rocky & Sons Show Lambs and Mt. Sac College currently have lambs available that would work for June–July fairs for those looking for local options.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Thanks to everyone who has reached out about this year’s club lamb crop. So far, we only have four lambs on the ground, with 20 ewes scheduled to lamb between January and February. All lambs will be priced at $500 and up this year.

The sires of this year’s lambs are a natural-colored 10 Bears son (MacLennan Club Lambs x Neff Livestock) and a son of Road Rage (Hobbs Show Lambs x Hassebrook Show Lambs). The photo shown is of 10 Bears. You can view the genetics from both sires in the comments.

SEVEN LAMBS LEFT FOR AUGUST & SEPTEMBER FAIRS!!! We've finished lambing for the spring and summer fairs. Our lambs are headed to the Mid-Winter Fair, East County Fair, San Diego County Fair, Ramona Fair, and Orange County Fair to name a few. We have seven lambs left that would be ideal for late summer or early fall fairs or jackpots. The sire of the lambs is a son of Road Rage (see picture) and the dams are all Hassebrook ewes.

ANYONE HAVE LAMBS LEFT FOR A MAY FAIR!!! Just got off the phone with a So Cal chapter looking for 12-18 lambs for a late May fair. Their market show is not overly competitive, but the lambs must weigh 100+ pounds to qualify for auction. Their budget is $350 or so. Does anyone have anything left? If so, please text me. Thanks!

Congratulations once again, Cody Nelson!!! This time, Cody captured the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb banner at the 2024 Ramona Junior Fair with an impressive 134-pound ewe lamb, out of an exciting Hassebrook bred ewe we acquired. Way to go, Cody! Your hard work and dedication continue to shine.

Congrats, Cody Nelson!!! Cody and his 140-pound wether clinched the Reserve Grand Champion Overall and Reserve Champion 4H Market Lamb banners at the 2024 San Diego County Fair. This wether is from a bred ewe we proudly purchased last year from Hassebrook Show Lambs in Nebraska. Best of luck at the Junior Livestock Auction on June 29th.

SOLD OUT!!! We're sold out of lambs for May-July fairs. However, we're expecting 20 lambs for fall and winter fairs in the $450-$750 range.

Here are some SoCal options if you haven't found your summer fair lambs yet:

Kathy Conwell, San Marcos, CA
Lambs are priced at $350. Genetics include a ram from us.

Mt. Sac College, Walnut, CA
Lambs are priced at $375. I believe they are running mostly Beam and Cover genetics.

Thomsonfarm Club Lambs, Poway, CA
Lambs are priced at $425. They brought in a new sire from TX but I can't recall the breeders name. See their page posted in comments.

You can also try Rocky & Sons Club Lambs in Fallbrook, CA and Embelton Livestock in Alpine, CA. See their pages posted in comments.

2023 LAMBS!!! Our 2023 lambing is in full swing. We're lambing out the Club Lambs first, then the Karakuls (fat tails) and finishing up with the Cheviots. We're expecting 15 high quality Club Lambs out of our Hassebrook buck. Need any breeding rams or ewes? How about wethers for 2023 fairs or jackpots? Let me know... Thanks!

ATTN JACKPOTTERS!!! The San Diego County Fair is having a junior jackpot style wether sire and wether dam show. Animals are shown by weight class. The show is open to nationwide exhibitors according to the livestock office. Show as an Independent, Grange, 4-H or FFA. A fun show next to the beach!!! Hang some banners!!!
