We are dedicated to rescuing purebred and mixed breed beagles from high-kill animal shelters, other rescue organizations with limited capacity and from owner surrender. Each dog will receive routine veterinary care that will include a

n exam and treatment. Spay/neuter and surgery will be provided if necessary. Vaccinations will be updated. Dogs will be placed in foster homes where ongoing care will be provided until an approved adoption is made. Fundraising activity will be conducted to provide financial support for the organization. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:
HENRY

Last week, our new boy Henry (9) had his intake exam and a dental. He’s in good shape and an ideal weight of 65 lbs!

Henry is a total love bug. He is slowly settling in and feeling more comfortable here. He’s a gentle, sweet boy and a true hound. He loves to take long walks and explore his new world. His nose is either low to the ground or high up taking in the smells around him and off in the distance. Henry also enjoys barn time, he likes to put his paws up on the window sill to see what’s going on outside. He’s ready and waiting for a forever home.

If you’d like to meet this adorable boy with the best ears around, please contact Lily’s directly 707-787-7010.

The sun was coming in through the barn windows just so. Our sweet POOKAH (11) was glowing in the light. That’s what she does best; she glows. She proudly wags her tail and trots around the barn with a plush toy in her mouth, showing the humans what joy looks like. She’s good with doggies, kitties, and humans alike. She alerts when a newcomer enters the barn, but quickly settles with a greeting. Perfect for a home, in our humble opinion. She’s a doll.
If you’d like to consider showering Pookah with a lot of love in her golden years, kuddos to you! You’d be the one we’re searching for. A human who believes in quality over quantity. It’s the best combo really.

At Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon (SDRO), we promote the well-being, safety, and care of older dogs. Our mission is to find new homes for older dogs who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of new loving homes to live out their remaining years. Over the past 24 years, SDRO has found new homes for over 1200 dogs.

SDRO cannot continue the work we do unless we fill all required board positions for our 503c3 designation. It is critical that we have the board positions filled by Dec. 31, 2022.

BOARD ROLES WE NEED TO FILL FOR 2023:

• President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Board Member (x2)

Time obligation estimate for all positions: 1-3 hours per week. Training will be provided for all positions. We have face-to-face meetings occasionally so a board member that does not live locally will need to commit to coming to Corvallis several times per year. Some meetings can be attended via Zoom.

If You have:

A passion for dogs
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Experience working as a board member
An ability to be objective and problem solve
Integrity in working with confidential information

If You are:

Detail oriented
A team player
Personable, professional, and have a positive attitude

If this describes you, WE and OUR SENIOR DOGS NEED YOU!

SDRO plans to recruit an Executive Director to start in 2023 as well. The ED will serve a critical role in ensuring SDRO is compliant with all applicable regulations and will help reduce the workload required of Board members.

If you are interested in any of the above positions, please contact us by Nov. 4 at [email protected].
