🎨 Craft from Home – Make & donate crafts for our fundraisers!
🚗 Animal Transport – Help dogs get to enrichment centers, rescues, or spay/neuter appointments!
🎟 Event Staffing – Work the register or assist at our events (about one every two months)!

It's Guinea Pig Friday! Still Life with Pomegranate, Cherries, and Guinea Pigs, Follower of Caravaggio, late 16th century

The term Caravaggisti refers to artists influenced by Caravaggio’s groundbreaking use of dramatic chiaroscuro and realistic detail. These painters—active around the late 16th and early 17th centuries—sought to emulate his emotionally intense style and naturalistic representation.

This painting which has a a companion with doves, is documented in Alberto Cottino's Natura Silente, Nuovi Studi sulla Natura Morta Italiana (Turin, 2007), appearing on plate 2 and 3, page 11.
