Dogs are lifesavers for 1.26 million U.S. veterans living with PTSD.

They wake veterans from night terrors, create space in crowds, and ease the invisible wounds of war. These are the unsung heroes helping veterans fight a different kind of battle - the one after the war.

Thanks in part to Capt. Luis Carlos Montalván’s service dog, Tuesday, these dogs are now recognized as lifesaving companions for veterans suffering with PTSD.
