Halloween is upon us!

FEET TIME!!!

Ok no, we are not restarting nail trimming here at Teca Tu... this is the nail trimmer, Linz, writing, so sorry to not have resumed this service. Life changes!

However, I think it so important to check out your dogs and cats feet daily.

Since I pet sit, and help in dog rescue, I see a lot of feet issues that could easily be avoided with a simple nightly foot check.

Dogs licking paws incessantly... check with a fine toothed comb.

My dog never licks her feet, so when she recently did, she had a sore between 2 toes.

For dogs with long or curly hair, they gets tight wads of matting between the toes and main pad, these hurt!

Fox tails or Grass seeds! Ticks and Fleas! Long nails, cracked nails, curling nails...

Cracked pads, dry pads, burnt pads, all bad.

All very uncomfortable for dogs and cats.

So do a check... you can also do a foot soak to clean, try some warm water with a touch of raw apple cider vinegar mixed in, unless there is a bleeding wound. Or try some weak Epsom salt too.

Feet are so very important in our pets and they often go unchecked.

Let's get our pets even healthier, vary their diet to maximize nutrition!

This is a great article highlighting the dangers of highly processed dry dog food.

Our biggest stance, no pet can be healthy on just dry food that gets heated by over 700 degrees in most cases.

We would not be healthy ourselves eating that way...

So don't make them eat that way.

But do NOT forget some veggies and fruits are toxic to your furry best friends!

My dogs favorites are...
Cucumber, Blueberries, Blackberries, Banana, Strawberries, Radishes!
