🖤 Obsidian stole the hearts of many guests in our cat lounge, one cuddle at a time. Whether you met him once or came in just to see him again, you know how special he is.

Now he has a lap to call his own! Obsidian was adopted this weekend, and we couldn’t be happier for him (or his lucky new humans).

Thank you, Carrie 💙

Today marks a new era at The Turquoise Teapot & Cat Cafe. Our new owner Ashley is officially stepping in, and we want to take a moment to honor the two people who brought this space to life.

Carrie opened the Santa Fe Cat Cafe in February 2024 and made her vision a reality. She’s helped over 120 cats find homes and created a space full of care and community. Her original tea recipes even brought us 3rd place for “Best Tea” in this year’s Best of Santa Fe.

Her dad and business partner Barry has been by her side from the start, building out the space, volunteering as a barista behind the counter, and supporting it all. He’s also been our landlord since the beginning and will continue in that role.

We’re celebrating with an open house at the cafe until 4 today, and Carrie will still be around helping us through August 15. Stop by, say hi, and help us thank her before she heads off on her next adventure!

Carrie and Barry will always be part of the story here, and we are happy to continue the mission they started. Thank you both for everything 🐈‍⬛💕

Big changes are happening at The Turquoise Teapot & Cat Cafe 💙

Carrie, our amazing founder, is moving out of state for a new opportunity. We’re so thankful for everything she’s done to build this space for both the cats and the community!

Ashley will be stepping in as the new owner, and we’re excited for you to meet her. She’s ready to continue the work of creating a cozy space for tea, coffee, connection, and most importantly — helping Santa Fe’s cats find loving homes. We’re so grateful for her and what’s ahead!

Meet two of our longest-term residents at the Santa Fe Cat Cafe, both still waiting for their furever homes 💙

🖤 Obsidian is a 16-year-old gentleman who wins over everyone who visits the lounge with his sweet cuddles. He’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet and soak up all the love.

✨ Linda is a sweet, shy five-year-old. Once she trusts you, she’s full of sweetness. She’ll thrive in a patient home that gives her time to settle in.

They’ve been part of the cat lounge family since February, but they’re both ready to find their purrfect matches. Come meet them this week at the Santa Fe Cat Cafe!
