We had so much fun last week at Lemos Feed & Pet Supply in Goleta on Calle Real! Special thank you to the manager Bernie for putting up with 4 crazy dogs as we celebrated Gabe’s birthday with a few of his fury friends! Bernie helped us pick out special treats and birthday toys, as well as, new dog food. She really knows her stuff and educated us on the benefits of the many brands they carry. We highly recommend them for any of your pet’s needs!

I Madonnari doesn’t allow pets this year but there are still plenty of pets to be seen in the chalk drawings. If you haven’t had a chance to go down to the Misson and check it out we highly recommend it as one of our favorite Santa Barbara Festivals. Monday is the last day to go.

It’s foxtail season again. Make sure you are checking your dog after every walk!

HIGH DANGER -- FOXTAILS!

As you can see in this picture of foxtails, the seed has a sharp end that can easily jab into the skin and create a puncture wound. Because the seed is sleek, it can slide deeper into the tissue without much difficulty and is hard to remove. Foxtails can easily pe*****te a dog’s skin or burrow into places like the nose, ears, eyes, and paws.

Check your pet's belly, ears, face, legs, and between their toes when they are outside so you can remove foxtails BEFORE they create a problem!

The Great Meadow provides iconic views of Santa Barbara’s harbor, the Santa Barbara Channel, Ledbetter Beach, and a view of the Los Padres National Forest. Dogs and their owners alike claim that there is no where close to the community and freedom the dogs have on City College’s campus.
