In the summer of 2021, Momo was a year old when his pet parent Chloe decided to get him a fresh new haircut. But it ended up being a little shorter than she had anticipated. Thinking Momo’s hair would grow back soon, Chloe didn’t think too much of it. Three months later, Momo’s hair still wasn’t growing back into the fluffy coat he had before. Chloe took Momo to the vet and had tests run; they showed everything was within the normal range. That’s when Chloe started looking into Momo’s diet and decided to make some changes.

K9 Kismet is a small rescue with a big heart. Founded in 2015 in Long Beach, CA, K9 Kismet’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving permanent homes for homeless dogs. They focus on dogs in shelters at risk of euthanasia and dogs whose owners can no longer care for them. K9 Kismet is also on a mission to help pets stay in their homes by offering assistance with medical care through their Amigos program and by helping families in need with food for their dogs through their Cooking with Asher program.

In South Korea, the adoption rate for dogs is only around 15%. The amazing people at Korean K9 Rescue of New York took this unfortunate statistic to heart and have dedicated themselves to rescuing dogs from meat farms, slaughterhouses, high-kill shelters, and the streets. The dogs are rescued, then rehabbed at the facility in Bundang before being transported to New York – where adoption rates are higher, and these incredible dogs have a brighter future. We are honored to align with such a noble cause and support these pups in their journey to health, wellness, and love.

6 months ago, 12-year-old Brady wasn’t eating her food and she was sleeping more than usual. Pet parents David and Meredith were concerned, so they made an appointment with their vet and discovered that Brady’s liver numbers were a little high. Not long after, a friend recommended JustFoodForDogs. David took Brady to the local JustFoodForDogs Kitchen that day to sample the recipes and decided on the Chicken & White Rice Recipe. Earlier this year, 5-year-old Fiona was showing signs of early kidney disease after her yearly checkup. Immediately after this discovery, a friend recommended that pet parent Bethani switch Fiona over to JustFoodForDogs. Bethani didn’t hesitate to make the switch to the Chicken & White Rice Recipe.

Fiona’s vet suspected there would be a change in her test results after being on fresh whole food, so after three months on the new diet, he suggested another urinalysis.

Bethani then took Fiona in for her test and, to her surprise, the results came back in the normal range!

3-year-old Ole was having trouble keeping his food down and was experiencing severe GI upset frequently. Pet parent Hayley tried switching his food and giving him probiotics, but that didn’t get Ole where he needed to be.

Then Hayley remembered driving by a JustFoodForDogs Kitchen, so she decided to stop in to see what it was all about. After speaking with a Nutrition Consultant, Hayley decided to start Ole on the Fish & Sweet Potato Recipe.
