Be aware when taking your dog for a walk... dark asphalt is the worst... even just crossing a street for 30 seconds! But even light colored sidewalks can be really hot with the weather we have been having. If you cannot walk comfortably in your bare feet, neither can your dog!

This was posted a few days ago on Nextdoor... Make sure your dog's Rabies vaccinations are up to date. Most vets give the 3-year Rabies shots now, so it might be easy to forget when they were last done, so please check on that.

Greetings to all of the 500 people who have LIKED our Dog Services Unlimited page! Thanks so much for all your interest in our company and our services!
I have an announcement to make... After 50+ years of working with the Recreation Departments of over 70 cities and colleges to conduct our Dog Training programs, Dog Services Unlimited has made the difficult decision to hang up our leashes...Due to all the uncertainties with the current situation, most of the cities we contract with are not allowing us to conduct face-to-face classes. (only "virtual classes" which we are not going to do.) So, I guess this must be a sign that it is time for Paul and I to retire from this business that we have been running together since 1970. We will still be doing the doggie daycare and overnight boarding here in our home (which many of you never knew about since that part of our business has never been advertised or even mentioned on our website)... but our popular training classes will no longer be offered. I will keep this page up for a while and will continue to post amusing or informative photos or announcements for all you dedicated dog owners, so please check in from time to time. Please go to www.DogClassInfo.com and click on one of these cities from the list on the home page. When you get to that city's page, you will see the class locations and days/times and start dates. TRAIN YOUR DOG NOW! Group Obedience class starts on SATURDAY morning, JUNE 6th at Marblehead Park in SAN CLEMENTE. $92 for the complete course ($95 non-residents) Register now through City of San Clemente Parks & Recreation: https://secure.rec1.com/CA/san-clemente-ca/catalog Click on “PETS” to see class info for DOG MANNERS “CRASH COURSE” and add to your cart. Space is limited to 12 students. The class meets from 10 am to 11:15 am. Dogs attend all lessons. June 6th – June 27th. Covers all basic obedience commands, walking on a leash without pulling, sit-stay, down-stay, come on one command, and help with correcting various behavior problems such as destructive chewing, jumping up, nipping, excessive barking, etc.
