One year. 🤍
This month marks the one-year anniversary of The Locum LVT, PLLC, and I’ve spent some time reflecting on the goals I set when I took the leap into relief veterinary technician work.
I didn’t just hope it would work — I set very clear intentions for myself: personal, professional, and financial.
✨ Personal goal:
To be more present for my family.
✨ Professional goals:
• To set and control my schedule
• To work at the very top of my license
• To continue growing within my field
• To foster healthy, collaborative relationships with clinics and hospitals
• To establish and maintain strong professional boundaries
✨ Financial goal:
To earn the wage I deserve for 26 years of skill, dedication, and experience.
And this year?
Every. Single. Goal. Was. Met.
I never expected to discover this much happiness and freedom in veterinary medicine. Relief work has reminded me why I fell in love with this profession in the first place — the medicine, the teamwork, the impact, and the ability to show up fully as myself.
To every friend, colleague, clinic, and hospital who has trusted me, supported me, referred me, encouraged me, and cheered me on — thank you. Your support means more than you know.
Here’s to one year of growth, courage, and freedom — and to whatever this next year brings. 🐾💙
