Lily is the sweetest senior kitty!

Unfortunately, Lily had become very matted, and because she is an older lady, she is also quite thin and delicate. Her mom had struggled to find a certified cat groomer she trusted to care for Lily, and over time, her coat became difficult to maintain.

For her first visit with us, Lily received the royal treatment — a nail trim, careful mat removal, a skin and coat restoration bath, blow dry, and lots of gentle combing and deshedding. Most importantly, she got lots of breaks. 👑

Senior cats require a little extra patience and care. Their skin can be thinner and more fragile, and their bodies may not tolerate the same handling as a younger cat. Our goal was to get Lily comfortable, clean, and mat-free while being as gentle as possible.

She did wonderfully and went home free of mats, feeling amazing, and smelling fabulous! ✨

Theo’s previous grooming experience was a scary one. He was groomed in a busy salon where cats and dogs shared the same space. He became so frightened that he scratched two groomers badly. They gave him a bath, but when they attempted to shave him, they were only able to make one single shave line on his belly before he became too stressed to continue. His mom was told he would need calming medication from his veterinarian before they would groom him again.

Mom also thought shaving was the only way to prevent his coat from matting, felt completely overwhelmed, and didn’t know what to do.

When Theo came to us about a month ago, we started small with a mini groom. Mom stayed to help him feel secure while we trimmed his nails — always the first thing we do — combed his coat, spot-shaved a few mats, and gave him a sanitary trim. Theo did well, so we made a plan to gradually introduce him to a complete groom.

This visit, Theo got a bath, blow dry, thorough deshed, nail trim, sanitary trim, and a little trim on his pantaloons to make his coat easier to maintain at home.

Theo did great! 🥰

Not every long-haired cat needs to be shaved to prevent mats. For many cats, a regular maintenance schedule of bathing, blow drying, and deshedding can keep their coat comfortable and manageable while allowing them to keep their beautiful fur.

Sometimes a cat who has struggled with grooming doesn’t need more restraint or medication. They might just need a different environment, a slower introduction, and a grooming plan built around them.

From street cat to spa cat 💕

Walrus came in for his very first spa day, and his mom was a little worried he might be aggressive. But this handsome guy surprised everyone! He was confident, comfortable, and did great for his groom.

Walrus started life as a TNR kitty, now he has a furever home, a mom who loves him, and spa days. ✨

Short hair doesn’t mean no maintenance 🙀

Short-haired cats need coat care too. In fact, many short-haired cats shed more than their long-haired friends.

Regular professional grooming helps remove loose and impacted coat, reduces shedding around the house, and keeps the skin and coat clean and healthy.

Gryffin left the spa looking sleek, shiny, and feeling fabulous! 🐱

A Teddy Bear Cut for Pumpkin 🎃

Pumpkin is such a snuggler! He comes in every 3 months for a bath and teddy bear cut to keep his coat comfortable, manageable, and looking adorable.

Regular grooming also means less loose hair around the house — a win for Pumpkin and his mom!

This mat was about 4 inches long and wrapped around this Siberian kitten’s neck. With their incredibly dense coats, Siberians can develop mats quickly—even when they’re still young.
