Camp Namanu Camp Namanu (Nuh-MAH-Noo) is a welcoming and empowering place for kids entering grades K-12 to spend Thanks!

Camp Namanu is going into our 97th summer, serving all kids ages 6-18 every summer. There are three different camp experiences associated with Namanu. Feel free to check out images from all of our program offerings to determine which is the best fit for your family's summer needs.

+ Resident Camp (a traditional sleep-away summer camp experience)

+ Namanu Ranch (a sleep-away equestrian program)


+ Summer Day Camp (week-long day programs located in Portland)

Camp Namanu is also available as a rental location for your retreat, meeting, or wedding needs. We hope to foster positive community and dialogue about Camp Namanu, but we do reserve the right to remove any posts that contain abusive or offensive language.

📣Calling all Teen Leaders! Our Counselors-In-Training (CIT) and Gears programs applications open on October 19th! We look forward to seeing all your applications! 🔗Link: https://www.campfirecolumbia.org/resources

CIT 1: (10-11th graders) This program transitions youth from campers to potential staff members. CITs follow a dynamic leadership curriculum designed to teach them about child development, behavior management, communication, decision-making and leadership.

Gears: (10-12th graders) This program is for those who want to get more involved in camp by giving back. Gears participants help to keep the dining hall running smoothly while having fun, working as a team, while still experiencing some of the fun things at Camp Namanu.

October 19th: Join us for a work day and fall festival in collaboration with Symbiop!
November 7th-9th: Join us for a day or a full weekend to help us shut down camp for the winter!

Come build relationships with land and people that steward it!

We're proud to announce our first event in a series of work parties and socials hosted by Camp Namanu Summer Camp, Symbiop, Antfarm and Willow Herb Land Stewardship & Monitoring! Camp Namanu was built on the site of a Wascopem city state of the same name; this Work Party & Social series is the beginning of Camp Namanu and its community partners' commitment to steward the land in a way that conforms to the desires of the Wascopem Eldership.

For the first half of this event, we will be doing trail maintenance between two areas selected for our native seed garden and saw mill projects, and clearing those project areas at our RANCH PROPERTY! Training, tools, and guidance will be provided. For the second half of the event, we will be sharing food, company, and maybe some dancing to the tunes of For The Living Earth and Biddy on the Bench. There will be cider pressing, hot spiced ciders, stews, and desserts to enjoy. Feel free to bring a\ dish or pie or share your harvest!

⭐ Two paver sizes to choose from (3 lines or 6 lines)
⭐ Up to 20 characters per line
⭐ All pavers will be installed at Cathedral in 2026
