Introducing our Assistant Camp Directors — your go-to problem solvers, hype squad, and behind-the-scenes magic makers 🔥
We asked them a few questions and here are their responses:
What's the most ordinary-seeming thing that you find fascinating?
L: I am fascinated by puppeteering.
G: Fascinating or terrifying… Driving! It’s very surreal to me that we all agree to drive at crazy speeds on highways and think nothing of it.
I: I am obsessed with squirrels.
J: Dew! I was fascinated to learn how air’s water holding capacity changes as the temperature changes. At night, as the temperature drops, the air can’t hold as much water. This causes water droplets (also known as dew) to form, and explains why the grass is covered in condensation in the morning.
What's your favorite camp memory?
L: My favorite camp memory is one I get to have every week, getting to watch campers reunite with their caregivers at pickup.
G: I can’t narrow it down to just one, so I’ll say, getting to watch amazing kids grow up year after year, and seeing the wonderful young adults they become.
I: My favorite camp memory is of all the friends that I’ve made over the last 17 summers!
J: All of my favorite camp memories occurred during overnights. I love cookouts and sleeping under the stars. My favorite overnight sit is constellation clearing!
We can't wait for you to meet them this summer!
