In addition to Social Clubs, we’re also introducing Trainer Talks! Trainer Talks will be held here at Zoom Room the first Saturday of each Month at 4:30pm. They are FREE to attend! Trainer Talks are, unfortunately, “human only” events, so please leave your pups at home and bring a friend instead!

Our first Trainer Talk is all about Dog Body Language! Come learn the secrets of decoding your dog to improve your training and relationship!

Exciting news, Zoom Room Fam! Adult Playgroups are being phased out and replaced with Social Clubs! Social clubs sort dogs by temperament and play style rather than just size.
To ensure all dogs are sorted into the best group for them, Social Clubs exist on an INVITE ONLY basis. If you’d like to get your dog into a social club, please talk to a trainer before class and let them know, and they can discuss with you further how to proceed and which group best suits your dog.

When going on adventures outside with your pup this summer, be sure to watch out for these natural hazards!
Foxtails are extremely common this time of year in Utah. They’re very good at working their way into your dog’s ears, toes, eyes, and fur. After every walk thoroughly check over your dog for any unwanted hitchhikers!
Blue-green algae, or cyanobacteria, is a little less common but a lot more deadly. Before allowing your dog to swim in or drink from natural bodies of water DO YOUR RESEARCH! Check out the Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s HAB identification guide, and look into any recent news regarding the body of water you plan to visit. It could save your dog’s life!

Does your dog completely ignore you outside? Bring super tasty treats on walks, and reward your dog every time they do something you like! Those can be things as simple as looking back at you, walking close to your side, performing a “leave it,” or ignoring a dog. Practice simple things like “Touch” and Name Game while you’re out and about too! Make interacting with you on their walk fun and valuable!
