Big news! My daughter Mel is becoming a homeowner in the Berkshires! And she’s starting her own pet sitting business to help with the increased costs.  She has been helping us for years and has a ton of experience with most dog breeds. She is also a second grade teacher with a masters in special education and moderate disabilities so will also be offering nannying and tutoring services. So share with your friends and family who live in Western Mass! And check out her TikTok as you might see familiar faces. 🐾 ❤️

The news has had a lot of information recently about the respiratory illness going around affecting dogs. Our setting is a very small, contained setting where we only have a select few dogs coming. We keep the numbers small and our visitors typically are only coming here and not going back-and-forth between here and other places full of dogs. Our personal dogs are not exposed to any other dogs besides the ones that come to the house. And we would like to encourage those who do plan on coming for daycare or boarding to not go to other daycare’s, dog parks, or areas where your dog will be surrounded by other dogs in order to protect our own animals, as well as the others who come to visit. And as always the policy is if your dog shows any signs of illness, such as coughing, breathing difficulties, stomach, upset, etc to please keep them home.

Doggies don’t understand time change! Up at 4 AM wanting breakfast and ready for dinner at 4 PM. Such an adjustment.

Link’s bestie Mabel got to spend the weekend with us as well as big Finn. So lucky to have such sweet dogs coming to play.

We’ve loved the addition of Scout to our day care crew.

I always hesitate to recommend using apps for finding a dog sitter. Their vetting process is very minimal. So anybody can really be on there with no confirmation that they are legitimate. I always suggest talking to friends and family for recommendations. Go on your town pages and ask who people have used and would recommend. Meet with a people before hand.

Also check out our updates to our website for hints and ideas on what is the best pet sitting setting for your family. (In comments). Our setting isn’t right for everyone. It’s important to know your dogs personality, and how they are with other animals before deciding what’s right for you. And you may have to try out a few different settings/sitters to find the right fit.
