UPTOWN RATTIES! This rat bachelor group recently came to us when their family deployed and could not take their pets. They were in a very small cage that just wasn’t good for them long term. Well, no more small cage for these boys. I found a couple of these great quality habitats on Marketplace for a decent price and sprung for the purchase. The upgrade is significant. Even our chinchilla, Chinnie, got a new big one too even though her housing was already spacious. Go big or go home! They all now have the space and enrichment they need. I think they are smiling!!

WHAT DOES A VOLUNTEER DO DURING WORK-BREAKS?
Get in some bonding time with the animals, of course. All of the rescues appreciate what the helpers do for them…some also really love soaking up the extra touch time too.

AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, ASTONISHING ACCOMPLISHMENT! WHAT A GREAT DAY.
A good friend of Barnyard arranged a volunteer weekend with his out of town friends. They made the trip, showed up ready to work, and hustled like pros all day long. We now have great fencing around the new paddock, solid walls in the new stalls, a new egress gate between the new paddock and the new shelter pasture, and fresh stall mats. Great things are taking shape thanks to great folks like these hard working young people. Thank You SOOO much!

AMAZING AMAZON ANGEL GIFT!
Thank You, Ms Nancy!! An easy wheelie for that sketchy old gate will really reduce my frustration level. And lighting up the coming darkness helps to keep us going later and much more safely. We are truly blessed!

SPINNER HAS SPUN! #68!!!
I forgot, recording the spinner (at least the only way this old woman knows how to do it) requires 2 people, 2 phones! Sooo…the spinner has spoken early! # 68 ! Winner, winner coastal/bermuda dinner. Thank you ALL. I wish everyone could win. The big winners are, of course, the animals and I am so grateful to each of you for helping them. Thank You! #68, reach out at 361.960.9170 so we can get your quilt to you.

MR. POWELL BROWN TO THE RESCUE!
The longhorns are happy…thanks to you quilt wafflers! We’ll spin tomorrow morning but the cows eat tonight. We always need hay…wish we had more! Thank goodness for our quilt artists and for our game players.

THANK YOU AMAZON ANGEL, RALPH!
The days are getting shorter and darkness comes early. Light is a necessity for our long days and lighting our spaces into the nighttime hours is a great gift. Thank you, Ralph!
