Good Morning!

Friendly reminder - please be sure you are contacting the clinic phone for making appointments, record request, prescriptions etc. The clinic number is 805-467-1341.

Messages to Dr Potters personal cell will likely not be seen as it is hooked up to the foal alert system when mares are close to foaling. Also please do not group text Dr Potter’s cell phone and the clinic number. We are working through this issue but the phone system does not deliver these group texts for unknown reasons.

Also - non-emergencies only need 1 call/ text a day and multiple people don’t need to call over the same non-urgent matter ( urgent meaning that the horse needs immediate attention). Repeated calls only delay our ability to respond to everyone. Please ensure you are leaving a message or text and someone will get back to you. Please be respectful that Emily is assisting Dr Potter or working with horses at the clinic and not just sitting by the phone waiting for calls. We do our best to respond in a timely manner but both Dr Potter and Emily are working extremely long hours. Our ability to see emergencies this time of year is very dependent on mares close to foaling, frozen semen mare schedules and treatments required for in-house hospitalized patients.

On Monday and Wednesdays Emily has class until 2 pm so return calls will likely be delayed those days!

Friendly Reminder!

Dr. Potter will be away from the clinic 10/29-11/21 and unavailable during that time. Please remember, we ask all calls to be directed to the office phone number only. If you need assistance, prescription requests or to schedule appointment for when Dr. Potter returns, please reach out to the office at 805-467-1341. Emily will be monitoring the clinic number during regular hours Monday - Friday 9am-3pm and Dr Potter will be checking in with Emily most days to touch base on follow ups as her time and phone availability allows. We will be working on our December schedule so please reach out if you are needing an appointment in December!

It’s our favorite time of year! Breeding and Foaling Season is well underway which means lots of early mornings, long days and late nights!

We have a few great changes coming this year! Stay tuned for updates!

Most importantly for appointments will begin being scheduled directly through the clinic and not Dr Potter directly beginning March 1st. You can also email [email protected] for appointment requests.

Breeding season is just around the corner! We have opened up our January 2022 appointment schedule! Don’t forget to schedule your remaining dentals and vaccinations before the season gets crazy. And don’t forget to set up with Dr Potter if you are having your mare bred in 2022!

We will have two new services being offered - 1 is focused around our breeding and reproductive services and the other is more targeted for our performance and thoroughbred sales clients.

With breeding season winding down it’s time for a little R&R for Dr Potter!

Please note that Dr Potter will be unavailable July 1-12 and August 6-25! Emergency coverage will be available for current clients during this time by one of our amazing colleagues.

Please call ahead to schedule any upcoming appointments. Currently there are only appointments available after July 13th.

Dr Potter will be competing at the EMO Western State Championships and NSBA World Championships as well as taking her two yearlings to the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Yearling Sale!

We hope the spring is treating everyone well! Please note that Dr Potter will not be available for regular appointments May 1-9 and emergency appointments will be very limited but will have back up veterinarians available.

Regular appointments will resume on May 10th.

Dr Potter will be competing with her horses In The Dark Secrets (Patron) and One Of Them Girls (Ava) at the SLOCQHA’s Mother’s Day Circuit!
