Place a pet alert sticker on your window so responders know animals are inside. Keep a go-bag with food, water, and medical records near the door. And make sure your pet is part of every practice drill. Protecting your pet is part of protecting your home.

While you enjoy the cookouts, fireworks, and parades, a few simple steps can help your pets feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. Keep them in a quiet space during fireworks, make sure they have ID tags on, and keep holiday food and decorations out of reach.
