I say this all of the time, but folks just don’t get it. Read this IF you have a reactive dog you want to help.

"Technically, we can’t “socialize” an older dog – that ship sailed before he lost his baby teeth! – but we can help him feel more relaxed around his fellow canines. It can take a lot longer at this age, though, and it requires a solid plan."

Dogs who have issues with other dogs can learn to be calm around other dogs – and maybe even make dog friends.

Such a good article: Although I don’tagree with some things, overall the message is clear socialization is critical.

Recognizing the signs of a poorly socialized dog early on means more time to train healthy behaviors when around other dogs and people.
