This is what success looks like! Sweet Max came in today for a follow-up on an eye issue.

Before our remodel, clinic visits felt so overwhelming that Max often refused to get out of the car. His family even tried parking down the street in hopes that he wouldn't recognize where he was going.

Lately, things have been very different. Instead of anxiety and hesitation, he has excitement and is eager to come through the door. He is confident going to the scale and into exam rooms, and his tail doesn't stop wagging.

His family shared how much they appreciate all the Fear Free touches we've incorporated throughout the hospital and how Max's experience at the clinic has been completely transformed.

Raw dog food recall grows to more than 180 lots.

The FDA warned that infected pets may shed Listeria, Salmonella, and Campylobacter in saliva and f***s even when they appear clinically normal, creating ongoing exposure risks for people and other animals in the household. Affected products were distributed to customers in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The complete list of recalled products and manufacturing date codes is available on the FDA’s advisory page. Clients can report pet illnesses through the FDA Safety Reporting Portal or by contacting Raaw Energy directly at 732-414-1446.

As of May 2026, the number of recalled lots has risen to more than 180.

Dr. Markoff recently worked with some newer team members on anesthesia monitoring techniques. This is an important part of keeping pets safe and comfortable during procedures. We’re proud to invest in education, teamwork, and growth so we can continue providing exceptional veterinary care to our community.

We first met this sweet Chandler when he was just 16 pounds, now at 110 pounds, he’s grown into a gentle giant.

He spent yesterday with us for a procedure. From the moment he arrived, our team focused on keeping him comfortable, closely monitored, and feeling safe. While under anesthesia, he was continuously supervised as we completed his dental cleaning, took full-mouth dental x-rays, and Dr Cherry removed a mass from his toe. Afterward, he rested comfortably until pick up time and gave us a final smile as he left. Moments like these are why we love what we do.

We checked in on him today and are happy to report he recovered smoothly and is doing great at home.

You can almost smell the puppy breath through the screen! Nothing makes us smile quite like welcoming a new puppy for their first visit!

And yes… the puppy breath is just as adorable in person as you’d imagine!

"Turning over Tobin’s care to ACC in his senior years was the best decision I could have made for him. From late-diagnosed epilepsy to CKD, liver inflammation to spleen enlargement, cancer scares to vestibular disease, IVDD to IBD, I can’t imagine getting Tobin to his Sweet 16 without the care and support of your team of doctors, nurses, and support staff. Thank you for loving my Best Boy, and for being equally invested in ensuring his quality of life. I’m amazed he’s still with us—thank you for respecting me as a pet parent and for your partnership to get him here."
Happy Birthday Tobin, we love you!

Is your dog protected against leptospirosis? Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease that can affect dogs of all lifestyles — even dogs who mostly stay close to home. Wildlife, standing water, damp soil, and shared outdoor spaces can all increase exposure risk. That’s why our team recommends the leptospirosis vaccine for all dogs to help keep them protected.

We’ve put together a blog explaining:
✔️ What leptospirosis is
✔️ How dogs are exposed
✔️ Why vaccination matters
✔️ How this disease can also impact people
