BAPA Pupdate
Mystic (FKA Aileen) is doing great. Almost totally potty trained. She woke us up at 6:30 AM to let us know she had to go out. We just took our first car trip to visit our new granddaughter. Mystic is so gentle and aware.

🐾💕Miss Priss says the best way to deal with the Dog Days of Summer is to just stay in bed and beg for belly rubs. This sweet senior would love to be in a home. BAPA Pupdate
Poppy (FKA Venus) is doing amazing! She loves her brother and playing with him in the backyard. She loves going on walks and we recently just went on a big roadtrip together. She loved having her head out the window!! A few months ago, she had a surgery done to fix her frequent UTIs. She truly is the piece our family was missing and we love every second of our time with her!

BAPA CatStatus
Vanilla Bean, or Mr. Bean, (FKA Moe, tuxedo) and Harper (FKA Thelma, tabby) have settled into a comfortable groove. Mr. Bean, initially quite scared, now charms while honing his opposable thumbs to open cabinets and drawers throughout the house. Harper enjoys egging on Mr. Bean for a chase when she isn’t studying the lizards outside the windows.

Our hearts are heavy for our dear friends Megan, Thuy and Judd, who have suffered the loss of their beloved dogs, Maiya and Boba, just weeks apart.

Maiya and Boba brought joy to everyone who knew them, both professional businesswomen in their own right.

Maiya was the #1 Top Trailer Salesdog four years running at Nationwide Trailers. She helped her mom gain a dedicated roster of loyal clients and supervised every transaction from her cozy bed.

Not to be outdone, Boba rose to the rank of CEO at Mount Pleasant, where she led the organization with grace and an unwavering commitment to excellence. She was tough but fair.

To honor their memories of these two perfect baby girls, we’ve donated a big ol' pile of dog food in their names to Bay Area Pet Adoptions/SPCA.

A special thank you to Texas City Feed & Supply for kindness in giving us a very generous break on the cost, helping us make this donation twice as big. Your thoughtfulness means the world to us and the pups at Bay Area.

May we all know the unconditional love of a dog and always strive to be the people they think we are.

Cakes by Jula sweetened the month of July in the best way possible by making Bay Area Pet Adoptions their charity of the month! Through their delicious cupcake sales, they raised $238 to help the pets in our care. We are so thankful for their generosity, support, and commitment to giving back to the community—because every special cupcake purchased helped bring more tails to happily-ever-afters.

This is Gabe's (FKA Pumpkin) story. I went to drop off some supplies at Bay Area Pet Adoptions in San Leon which I found out about thru a friend. Having recently lost my precious cat Zeke, I thought I needed some more time before looking for a new fur baby. While at the shelter, my arm was twisted to go on a blind date with a recent surrender whose owner had passed away. Both parties involved on this set-up were extremely reluctant to say the least. After a couple more meet-ups we decided to give it a try. Ten weeks later I can honestly say that after a quick engagement and just as quick "I Do's" this Blind Date was a win-win. I think we skipped the 'honeymoon' and settled right into the comfortable friends stage. Thank you Bay Area Pet Adoptions for my new fur baby.

We are in need of your help. The shelter is very low on some supplies. The cattery is needing some clumping litter, wet canned food for cats and kittens.
