Bay Area Pet Adoptions/SPCA Longest No-Kill Shelter in Galveston County, totally dependent on public donations to stay open. Our shelter does not euthanize for space.

We are a non-profit animal rescue, No-Kill shelter and adoption organization that relies on YOUR donations to house feed and medically care for the dogs and cats taken in our adoption program. We are not operated or funded by any national animal group and must rely on contributions from people like you to keep our shelter open. All financial contributions and in-kind donations are tax deductible.

Are you passionate about cats? Would you like to make a difference in a shelter animals' life?

Bay Area Pet Adoptions is currently hiring for a part-time animal care technician to work in our Cattery. We are looking for someone who loves cats, is dedicated, hard-working and wants to help keep our shelter cats and kittens happy, healthy and socialized.

Experience working with cats, or experience in a veterinarian's office or an animal shelter is highly preferred.

The shelter is staffed 7 days a week. Availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays is required.

🍪Meet Chip, a 7-month-old puppy who’s as yummy as a peanut butter cookie. His nose makes us sure it is meant to be topped with a Hershey’s kiss. Sweet, a little melty, and totally irresistible, this boy is as lovable as he looks. He’s spent a week in foster and was good with their kids, cool with their cats, and made fast friends with their dogs. His playful spirit, heart full of snuggles, and clumsy puppy charm is sure to keep you laughing. Equal parts lovebug and goofball, Chip is always ready for a cuddle, a game, or a nap in the most inconvenient spot possible. He’s not just a good boy—he’s everyone’s new favorite sidekick.🐾❤️

At just 10 months old, she’s the perfect mix of playful pup and cuddle companion—she adores romping around with other dogs and never turns down a chance to make a new friend. Serena is easy to walk on a leash, quick to offer sweet kisses, and always on the lookout for a welcoming lap or cozy couch to share. It's less than 30 days away, so make plans to get your holiday shopping done early. It's indoors so rain or shine, we'll be there waiting for you!

Are you interested in becoming an indoor vendor to escape the hot Texas summer heat?

10' x 10' booth slots are now being allocated. Each booth slot is provided a 6' round table & two chairs or bring your own if you so desire. This is an indoor event to be held rain or shine. Booth fees are $50. Electricity is not available so bring well-charged electronic devices.

❤️Meet Finley, an irresistibly charming puppy whose curiosity knows no bounds—if there’s a rustle in the bushes or a squeak under the couch, you can bet she’s already on the case with her nose leading the way. This little detective also happens to be a total attention sponge, soaking up every pet, scratch, and belly rub with a look of pure joy. She gets along great with other dogs and often convinces them to join her latest “important mission,” which usually ends with a shared nap or a game of chase. Seems Finley also like to take walks as she “found the leash” in the bag. With her playful spirit and love for companionship, Finley is ready to fill your life with laughter, tail wags, and a whole lot of heart.🐶
