Bay Area Pet Adoptions/SPCA Longest No-Kill Shelter in Galveston County, totally dependent on public donations to stay open. Our shelter does not euthanize for space.

We are a non-profit animal rescue, No-Kill shelter and adoption organization that relies on YOUR donations to house feed and medically care for the dogs and cats taken in our adoption program. We are not operated or funded by any national animal group and must rely on contributions from people like you to keep our shelter open. All financial contributions and in-kind donations are tax deductible.

Remember Laveau, our critical medical case with the distended stomach requiring immediate surgery due to a ruptured uterus? Thanks to so many of our donors she is doing awesome and is now ready to find her forever family. This sweet doxy is ready for a fresh start, and is looking for a home where she can simply be loved. Though a bit reserved at first introduction, with a little time she’ll be following you from room to room like a tiny shadow watching out for your well being. Whether she’s curled up in your lap sharing soft kisses or quietly stretched out at your feet, Laveau is ready to be a devoted member of the family.

💔🐕Leo is the kind of little dog who won’t make a grand entrance — in fact, when you first meet him, he may quietly hang back and study you with those cautious eyes. But give him a little patience, a soft voice, and a cozy lap, and suddenly you’ll discover the real Leo: a tiny heart thief with a gentle soul. There’s something wonderfully comforting about the way he settles against you, as if he’s decided the world is finally safe and peaceful for the both of you. He has a playful streak too, happily amusing himself with soft toys and enjoying little moments of fun, but his true talent is making you feel calm, loved, and completely content just by being curled up beside you.💕🐾

Whether she’s curled up in their laps or laying by their feet, Allie makes sure her new family knows just how grateful she is for their love and affection. 🐾Shaggy looks exactly like his name sounds — adorably scruffy, slightly tousled, and full of quiet charm. He’s the kind of dog who enjoys being near his people without needing to be the center of attention. On walks, he’s happy to stroll along at your side, and afterward you’ll usually find him stretched out beside you on the couch or sprawled comfortably on the floor nearby, soaking up the company. Shaggy appreciates belly rubs, politely begs for treats, knows “sit,” and occasionally shares a soft little kiss when the mood strikes. He’s a low-key companion with a sweet heart hidden beneath all that shaggy fur.❤️

🎉 Hey, hey — it’s Harold’s Day! Not even the nasty weather could stop this sweet senior from finding his forever home today. Just look at that smile — it says everything. Harold’s new family is absolutely thrilled to welcome this gentle giant into their lives, and they’ve already spoiled him with elevated food and water bowls to help make life a little easier and more comfortable.

🐕💕Tom has mastered the art of pretending he is an innocent little gentleman while quietly plotting low-level terrier nonsense in the background. One minute he’s shyly leaning in for head scratches and soft kisses, the next he’s trotting away with his leash or toy, looking far too pleased with himself. Beneath the tiny rebel act is an adorable little dog who truly loves people and blossoms with attention. Tom may take a moment to warm up, but then he soaks up the attention and becomes a perfect fun loving companion. This scruffy boy will be a daily source of laughter for a family that appreciates a little humor, a lot of heart, and the occasional unexplained missing slipper.🐾❤️
