I swear… puppies like this make me pinch myself. How did I get so lucky to do what I do?

Meet the ridiculously phenomenal Otis—the newest pup to join the Little Wolf Canine Academy pack!

He’s a 4 month old Pit | Boxer | GSD mix (and probably another larger breed in the mix), recently adopted into the BEST forever home with his amazing mom, Marie.

It’s been a while since Marie’s raised a puppy, so she’s not messing around! She’s jumping in with both feet and making sure Otis gets the best foundation possible with training.

We’ll be working on all his foundational obedience skills, but even more than that, a big chunk of attention will be focusing on building a rock solid relationship with this team based on trust, respect, clear communication, and understanding.

I have to say, upon first meeting Otis I could see so clearly he is a total old soul. He’s deep, gentle, curious, and soooo eager to connect. I’m already obsessed and seriously honored to be part of his journey.

Welcome to the pack, Otis! I absolutely adore you and can’t wait to watch you grow!

What is making this pup so happy smiling from ear to ear??? His absolute pride of course!

Sending a HUGE Congratulations 🎉to the amazing Chip on your recent graduation from the Puppy Foundational Obedience Program !

I am so so SOOOOOO proud of this sweet doodle pup who showed up eager and focused for every session!

Throughout his training series, Chip learned all the essentials to become a well-mannered companion for his family and a valuable member of his community. This boy learned crate training, all of his foundational commands, place work, loose leash walking, threshold manners, calm meet and greets with people, and structured pack walking.

Yup! This pup learned it all and absolutely EXCELLED every step of the way.

But want to know the real secret behind the magic? It was his dedicated mom, Josephine. 💖

She committed to the training process with heart and consistency, practicing daily while managing a bustling household and being a rockstar mom to three wonderful kids. Her effort and mindset played a huge part in Chip’s success.

Every session with this team was an absolute highlight of my week. Chip is not only soaked in the genetics of pure cuteness, but also brought such great energy and focus to every moment.

I’m so proud of everything Chip has accomplished and I can’t wait to see what’s next for him. With his solid foundation, joining the pack for structured walks could definitely be in his future!

It’s my pleasure to introduce to all of you and welcome to the pack the beautiful Juno!

This sweet senior mixed breed has a heart of gold, and I’m thrilled to help her family teach this wise girl some new tricks!

We’ll be working on obedience, solid manners, and practical life skills to support a smooth transition as they prepare for a big move to Europe!

Since rules surrounding dogs and approved tools vary overseas, we’re using techniques that are not only effective here, but also transferable and aligned with her new environment.

I’m honored to guide Juno and her family through this exciting journey.

Everyone please join me in giving a warm welcome to the amazing Baxter who has joined Little Wolf Canine Academy for training!

This handsome young Lab mix was recently rescued by his incredibly dedicated new mom Lia , who’s wasted no time getting him started on the right path with training!

Baxter’s adoption is especially meaningful—Lia has been thoughtfully searching for the right canine companion since her beloved dog Star passed away last year.

With his easygoing temperament, deep engagement, and tender soul, Baxter is already showing what a special dog he is.

I’m beyond excited to work with this stunner and help nurture a beautiful bond and strong relationship between him and his new owner!

Here’s to building so many new memories ! Love you Baxter!

Sending a HUGE Congratulations to Jen & Wyatt for their recent graduation with Honors!!!

When I first started working with Jen, walks were a huge challenge due to Wyatt’s reactivity and the sheer power he had behind the leash. But through dedication, trust, and the right approach, this team has made an incredible transformation!

Our journey began with redefining their roles. Jen stepping into the calm, confident leadership Wyatt needed and Wyatt learning to be a balanced, attentive follower. We reinforced his obedience skills, gave him fulfilling jobs, and swapped out his harness for the best communication tool: a Herm Sprenger prong collar.

With focused pack work, exposure to distractions, and mastering Place as a go-to skill in public settings, Wyatt gained the structure he needed to thrive.

Their graduation session at a busy farmers market was a testament to their hard work—zero reactivity as they navigated the crowds with confidence and ease!

Jen, I’m beyond proud of how you’ve stepped up as a leader and advocate for Wyatt. Wyatt, seeing you walk next to your mom, looking to her for direction in a happy-go-lucky state of mind, makes me smile every time.

It has been an absolute honor guiding you both on this journey, and I can’t wait for the next phase—taking on even more challenging environments together!

Watching these teams grow together has been nothing short of inspiring!

Rescued from a hoarder’s home, Lilly started out fearful of the world. Thanks to the patience and commitment of her devoted dog moms, Ally and Heather , she has blossomed into having newfound confidence, gaining skills, trust, and even enjoying structured socialization on pack walks!

Sweet as can be with people, but needing guidance around other dogs, Lilly’s journey was all about overcoming reactivity. With courage and dedication, Damian embraced the training process, utilizing supportive tools like the E-Collar to help Lilly make better choices. Now, this duo can confidently enjoy public outings and shared experiences together!

It’s is my pleasure to welcome Hagrid to Little Wolf Canine Academy! Let me tell you, this full size Standard Poodle puts the capital S in Sophisticated.

Poodles are seriously master problem solvers. They are crafty, intelligent, and always thinking. As a result, they are super fun dogs to own and Hagrid is no exception!

This handsome boys training at LWCA will focus on various ways for him to build confidence when spending time alone, creating more freedom for his owners without worry of his separation anxiety.

We’re implementing plenty of structure, new house rules, and gradually increasing time apart to prepare him for upcoming life changes where this skill will be essential.

His foundational obedience is getting fine tuned along his journey as well. In fact we have already begun teaching Hagrid Threshold Manners and calm guest greetings, which with consistent practice will be locked in!

I can’t do this post without talking about his Bouffant, because I’m absolutely obsessed with it and think it makes him such an iconic rockstar. Im pretty sure if we gave him a guitar he would sing songs that stir your soul.

Giving a huge shoutout to his dedicated owners Cyan and Alex who are already proving they’ve got what it takes to level up their game with some new leadership moves to “Check Mate” their chess master level dog.

Everyone welcome Kibo!

Kibo the chocolate Labradoodle has joined Little Wolf Canine Academy to elevate his cool factor and refine his skills. We putting a big focus into dog neutrality, helping this ol’boy slide into his senior years with newfound wisdom and confidence.

There’s always that age old question: “Is my dog too old to train?” The answer? Never. Training is for all ages, and Kibo is proof that motivation and engagement don’t fade with time.

A few sessions in, and this distinguished gentleman is already shifting his focus to his owners instead of nearby dogs. He even tackled his first real-world training session at Home Depot and crushed it!

Huge shoutout to his dedicated owners, Alison and Gil, who are putting in the work to set Kibo up for success. Training is always a team effort, and their commitment shines through.

I have been so excited to be able to share this announcement!! Congratulations to my recent graduate Alexandra and her super handsome Labrador Retriever Morty.

Alex impressed me right away with how she thought ahead investing in Morty’s training during his adolescence to ensure he’d have great behavior, manners, and a solid obedience foundation for the next big chapter in their lives… growing their family with a second baby!

Her dedication, energy, and commitment to the training process absolutely blew me away. On top of being pregnant, working full-time, raising her son and managing a multi dog household, Alex still made time for training, sent amazing updates, and showed up ready to learn every session. That level of heart and commitment earns my full respect!

Throughout our journey, we focused on real-world training scenarios helping Morty stay calm around other dogs, be cool, calm and collected at venues, as well as pack walking smoothly with his Labrador sister, Gemma. The results speak for themselves!

This is a truly a team worth celebrating, and I couldn’t be happier for them. It’s been an honor to be part of this journey, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Alex, Morty, Gemma, and their soon to arrive new sister!

Everyone please join me in giving a warm welcome to Barry, the FABULOUS King Charles Spaniel, to Little Wolf Canine Academy!

Barry is embarking on a training journey focusing on foundational obedience and development of neutrality around other dogs, replacing reactive behaviors with calmness and balance in order to open up a world of stress free walks for him and his owners.

We are a few sessions in and I could not be more pleased with his owners Leslie and Nick commitment to the process. Barry is already learning the value of the crate , Yes markers, Threshold manners and that Sit means Sit!!

They have big dreams for their boy, excited to be working towards their future goals of taking him everywhere as life’s adventures brings new opportunities to share companionship together built on trust, structure, and confidence.

As a breed with a history of being used for hunting with the Royals , these little spaniels have a strong prey drive . Teaching engagement and neutrality will be key to keeping focus in stimulating environments as Barry learns all about impulse control along his journey.

I can’t wait to see more as Barry transforms into the ultimate adventure companion and keep you all posted ! Love you boy!

Sending a shoutout to my recent graduate Dawn and her dog Riley a HUGE Congratulations on their success.

I started working with Riley when she was just a puppy building her foundational obedience and skills to ensure her growth into adulthood was one of confidence and balance.

Her amazing and dedicated family followed the program to a T reaching every goal and milestone along the way. They were so excited about the success and progress, they continued with a second series focusing on real world training in multiple environments with high distraction, prepping Riley for all adventures life has to offer. Her owner Dawn also was excited and eager to grow and expand upon her leadership skills to feel empowered to guide her dog through any scenario as they shared new moments together.

I absolutely LOVED working with this team and am so proud of their growth and success.

Dawn said it best when she shared the confidence she gained along her training journey also transferred to new found confidence in her day to day life.

Now that is music to my ears and brought me more joy than I can describe in words!! 💖

The training journey truly is transformative for your dog, for you as a human and for life!!
