My ame is Holly Meredith "Shelly" of Kokino Shiba Inu's and Bengal Cats, located in Southern California. My lifelong love and passion for all animals have led me to breed and show horses, dogs, and cats. Although I do miss my horses and Akitas, I am currently devoting my time to Shiba Inu's and Bengal Cats and have been since 2017. I strive to be ethically and morally correct with complete transpa
rency in my breeding program. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders such as Kokino Shiba Inu's. It is vital for the preservation and well-being of the breed. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, and your lifestyle, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. We are members of AKC Bred with the H.E.A.R.T. Breeders that participate in the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program pledge to uphold the program values of health (all parents are tested before breeding- DNA, Hips, Elbows, Patella, Eyes), education, accountability, responsibility, and tradition. Puppies are raised in our home and are well-socialized with grandkids and Bengal cats.
Kokino Bengals is a small cattery focused on the health, preservation, and longevity of the breed. We follow the TICA Code of Ethics to ensure the health and well-being of every kitten and cat. Kittens are raised in our home with love. Parents are TICA registered and health tested (HCM, DNA, PRA, PKD). We are happy to commit to the TICA Voluntary Breeder Code of Ethics and will remain members in good standing of The International Cat Association and have TICA-registered cats. We will only place kittens and puppies in homes that we believe will provide a lifelong commitment of love, appreciation, and responsible care. We will guarantee that the kitten/puppy is in good health at the time of the sale and free from any inherited breed specific ailments that TICA/AKC recommended testing prior to breeding. We will urge the purchaser to have the kitten/puppy examined by the purchaser’s own vet within 3 days of purchase to confirm its good health. We will require that the kitten/puppy be spayed or neutered no later than 6 months of age and not be allowed to produce any offspring. This is usually done before the kittens leave our cattery. We require the cat/kitten's to be indoors only cat due to the dangers of an outdoor environment. All kittens/puppies are sold with a written sales agreement that describes all of the terms of the sale for both parties. A TICA/AKC registration application form and/or pedigree for the kitten/puppy will be provided only after we have received written evidence from a licensed vet that the kitten/puppy has been altered. All puppies/dogs and kittens/cats will be up to date on vaccinations appropriate to their age. Puppies will not leave our kennel until 8 weeks of age and kitten will not leave until 12 weeks of age.
