We're proud to partner with the San Francisco Giants for this fan-favorite event. When you head to the park, you’re not just cheering on your team with your best furry friend, you're helping expand access to veterinary care, find loving homes for cats and dogs, and advocate for animals across California.

Meet Chiquetin and Coco, a bonded pair of 10 and 11lb, two-year-old Chihuahua mixes! 💕

Patience, consistency, and plenty of TLC will be key in getting this brother and sister duo comfortable in their new home. Respecting Chiquetin and Coco's personal space and giving them yummy treats are the first step to help you build bonds that will last forever. Coco is more outgoing and helps show her brother, Chiquetin, that people are friendly and nice.

In the few weeks they've been here, they've begun to sit next to (and on) volunteers they know, so it'll only be a matter of time in their new home until both are showering you with affection. If you're a gardener, we think you'll love seeing Chiquetin and Coco blossom! 🌼🌼

Every now and then, we’re lucky enough to get to see an animal return to the family they know and love. 🥰

Leanne had been with her original owner for three years, but when his circumstances changed, he made the heartbreaking decision to return Leanne to us to find a new home. Her signature fluffy tail and sweet smile were recognizable by everyone who knew her before and stole the hearts of her new human friends.

Leanne was just about to start this new journey when her previous owner’s girlfriend came to the rescue—literally! After working out the details, both she and her partner came in to bring Leanne home. You could see just how happy she was to see them both. 😍 Life may have it’s twists and turns, but it can be so rewarding to see how it all turns out in the end!

Once a shy boy, he's now relaxed, curious, and quietly affectionate thanks to the love and dedication of his foster volunteers. As you can see from the second photo, Rocky Raccoon has seen some tough times. But with the support of our Shelter Medicine team and some good meals, his fur is growing in nicely and he's getting back to a healthy weight! He even announces his request for food with the cutest raspy meows. Though he's been through the thick of it, he's well on his way to a brighter future! Like the iconic Pink Lady, Rizzo may look tough on the outside, but she's a big softie with a heart of gold. All of her best qualities are also the ones shared by her namesake—she's confident, charming, and full of sass. She's not afraid of new experiences and recently took a field trip to the beach where she faced the waves head on. Rizzo's sassy side appears when she bumps your arm if you stop petting her. "I knew I had to meet Corndog because of his kind eyes and huge grin in his shelter photo. Once I met him in person, he was every bit as affectionate and exuberant as I could have hoped and I was instantly and hopelessly smitten.

Corndog has brought infectious optimism into our world and never passes up an opportunity to revel in affection and play. He's even managed to win over the cats! He has taught me that there is no joy too small to celebrate. He can find the good in pretty much anything and has been inspiring me to do the same." 🥹🐾

“We adopted two cats from you, one in September 2022, her name is Mishka (originally Fancy), and we also got our second one in February of 2024 and her name is Coco (originally Nubs). They became friends immediately and haven’t been separated since. They love (and sometimes hate) each other but more importantly they play a lot and keep each other company.

We chose them because both of them were so cute and loving at first sight, the both came to us as soon as we entered the room. I remember Mishka started climbing up our legs when we saw her first, and Coco was the only one of her siblings who came to us and started playing. They have enhanced our lives by giving us warmth and joy and true companionship during both happy and hard times. We learned that no two cats are the same and even though they have different personalities they have show love in their own way which is very special.” 🥰

We love when adopters come back to find new furry family members. Thanks for giving Mishka and Coco a wonderful life! 🫶

It's National Dog Day and we'd like to introduce you to Leya, a wiggly 52lb, 10-month-old Boxer mix! 😍

She's very friendly and loves greeting new people with a smile and an excited butt wiggle. She's a bit of an escape artist here, but that's only because she wants to head to a forever home. Once she's comfortable, she'll never want to leave your side! Together, you'll love going on hikes where she can sniff everything, teaching her new tricks and cues, and cuddling at home after a long day. If you're looking for a fun-loving pup who’s ready to thrive with the right support, Leya can’t wait to meet you! 🤗

Dear Friends

Thank you for making all of our lifesaving work possible. We are so grateful for you all. Governor Newsom recently updated his stay-at-home order to clarify that animal care facilities, including animal shelters are essential services.

We are doing everything we can to keep our staff healthy so we can continue to be here for you if your beloved pet needs urgent care and to be here for our shelter animals.
