Meet Snow ❄️ — a 5-year-old Husky with a heart as soft as his name! This stunning boy is a volunteer favorite and it’s easy to see why. Snow is the total package: sweet, gentle, playful, and incredibly loving. At just 45 pounds, he’s the perfect size — big enough for adventure, small enough to snuggle on the couch 🛋️

Snow is:
🐶 Great with kids, adults & other dogs
🐾 Amazing on leash
🏡 House trained
🛋️ A certified cuddle bug
🐕 Vocal (like a true Husky!), but not a big barker
🎾 Loves park time & playing with dog friends

His former foster said:
“Snow is such an amazing dog. He’s house trained, did great on walks, and loved cuddling on the couch. He’s not super barky, but he’ll talk to you when he has something to say!”

Meet Snow (aka Snowy) – The Handsome Husky with a Heart of Gold!

At 5 years old, Snow is the perfect blend of maturity and playfulness. True to his breed, he’s smart, independent, and brimming with personality. He “speaks husky” fluently — that means you’ll get some delightful conversations, classic husky expressions, and a side of sass to keep life interesting.

Snow’s foster family can’t say enough good things about him:

“Snow has been amazing in our apartment. No barking, no whining, just a great all-around dog. He’s been wonderful on walks, even with all the new sounds and smells of downtown, and gets along beautifully with people and other dogs. He’s such a joy to be around!”

Like many huskies, Snow thrives with structure, activity, and mental stimulation. He would do best in an active, husky-savvy home that understands the breed’s unique needs — plenty of exercise, secure fencing, and lots of interaction. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who will trot beside you on adventures, chat with you in his signature husky voice, and melt your heart daily.

We’re endlessly grateful for the incredible humans who open their hearts and homes to dogs in need.❤️ Just last week, we put out an urgent call for a mama and her 8 newborn puppies—found struggling in the scorching Central Valley heat. Within hours, one of our amazing foster families,  (thank you!), stepped up without hesitation. Because of that “yes,” sweet mama Daisy (formerly homeless, now named with love) and her tiny pups are safe, cozy, and thriving in a home filled with care. Meet JoJo – 67 Pounds of Pure Joy!

With his big, floppy triangle ears, soulful eyes, and goofy grin, JoJo is the kind of dog who can light up your day the second you meet him. This handsome cattle dog/shepherd mix (most likely) is 67 pounds of affection, curiosity, and irresistible charm.

Still a puppy at heart, JoJo is playful, silly, and completely devoted to his people. He loves outdoor adventures — whether it’s hiking through the woods, camping under the stars, or simply strolling the neighborhood. Wherever you go, JoJo is ready to be your cheerful, tail-wagging sidekick. When the adventures wind down, he’s all about snuggling up, preferably with his head resting in your lap.

JoJo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine playmate. He’s gentle with kids, unfazed by loud noises, and recently showed off his best manners at an adoption event. Leash walks are no problem, and he greets both people and dogs with friendly enthusiasm.

Active yet mellow, loyal yet easygoing — JoJo is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. Come meet this gentle giant and let him steal your heart!

🚨 Foster Needed for Sweet Mama + 8 Puppies! 🐾

This 25 lb mama was found as a stray with eight babies! She’s tired, underweight, and doing her best to care for eight newborn puppies in the heat. She’s only about two years old herself, just a baby raising babies.

We want to rescue her and her litter, but we can’t do it without a compassionate foster who can provide a safe, quiet space for all nine lives to heal and grow.

Mia was found trembling with fear beneath a car injured, alone, and in visible pain. This sweet French bulldog could barely stand, let alone cry for help. Thankfully, a compassionate rescuer spotted her and gently brought her to safety.

When we learned of Mia’s plight, we knew we couldn’t turn away.
Family Dog Rescue is committed to making sure Mia receives the medical attention she needs. Mia is already doing much better ❤️

Family Dog Rescue will be at the Inner Sunset Flea Market for the “Dog Days of Summer” on Sunday, August 11th from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. — and we’re bringing our adorable, adoptable pups! 🎉🐶

Come meet your future furry family member, enjoy the annual Parade of Dogs, and join in the costume contest with fabulous prizes from Animal Connection. 🐕✨ The parade kicks off at 1 p.m.—meet us at the east stage at 9th Ave & Irving St!

Shop over 60 vintage and secondhand vendors, enjoy live music all day, and take part in fun, family-friendly activities. 🎸🛍️ While you’re here, explore the amazing food and attractions in the heart of the Inner Sunset.
