At 7am on July 13, security cameras caught someone choking this little French bulldog and throwing her over the fence of a grooming salon in Castro Valley.

Abandoned. Like garbage.

We answered the call and rushed Aurora to our vet. Cuts circled her neck. Severe skin infections covered her body. She was hurting everywhere.

Shiloh is a 3-year-old Basset Hound with the sweetest soul. He came to Family Dog Rescue after receiving medical care for severe injuries from being attacked by a pack of dogs. His wounds were serious, but with time, care, and lots of love, Shiloh has healed beautifully and is back to being his sweet, silly self. Now, he’s ready for his fresh start.

Shiloh loves belly rubs, gets along with everyone he meets, and has the kindest, most lovable personality. He’s neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and more than ready to find a family of his own.

Happy at home update: Georgie has been adopted! 🤍 Our very special Georgie is now living his best life with his amazing mom in LA and two wonderful dog siblings. Our little social media star is thriving, loved, and so happy—exactly what we dreamed for him. We are so grateful to his incredible adopter for opening her heart and home to Georgie and giving him this beautiful life.

🐾 Meet Grizzy — the last of Lois’ puppies still waiting for his forever family! 🐾

Grizzy is thriving in a loving foster home, where he’s getting a wonderful start on potty training and socialization. His foster family says he is the sweetest puppy with the calmest demeanor. He loves cuddles but is also playful, curious, and always ready to explore.

Grizzy’s mom, Lois, is a 15-pound silky terrier mix. We don’t know who dad is, but we estimate Grizzy will be around 25–35 pounds full grown.

This sweet boy is so ready to find the family who will love him forever. 💛

🐾 Daphne’s Puppies Are Ready for Their Forever Families! 🐾

The countdown is on! 💕 Daphne’s four adorable puppies will be ready to go home on August 14, and we are now accepting adoption applications.

These sweet pups have been surrounded by people, other dogs, and lots of love from the very beginning. They’re playful, curious, affectionate, and each has a personality all their own:

🤍 Bojack – the confident, independent big brother with a heart of gold.
🤍 Templeton – the playful cuddle bug who lives for snuggles and melts in your arms.
🤍 Lady – the athletic, affectionate sweetheart who loves everyone (especially other dogs!).
🤍 Ruby – the tiniest of the bunch with the biggest heart, happiest curled up for cuddles after a day of adventures.

Their mama, Daphne, is a beautiful Dalmatian mix. Dad is unknown, but based on their size and build, we expect these puppies to grow to approximately 45–55 pounds.

💔 Bubba thought he had found his forever home.

Sadly, the adopter’s resident dog was not able to accept him and was becoming reactive. Through absolutely no fault of Bubba’s, his adopters made the heartbreaking decision to bring him back.

They could not say enough wonderful things about him. Bubba is truly the nicest dog. He is a young bulldog mix, around 50 pounds. He gets along with everyone, is house-trained and crate-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and has so much love to give. He did everything right—this simply was not the right match.

That means Bubba’s real forever family is still out there.

Please help us find the people who will choose this lovely boy for good. Bubba is ready to give someone his whole heart. He just needs someone ready to give him theirs in return.
