Well, it’s been eventful last few weeks/month with my sweet Barns. I’m not great at updated here (I’m working on it! News to come), but here are some photos and some explanation. First, I’m posting this with my darling Barns happily sleeping at my feet, I don’t want to scare anyone! As soon as I hit post we’ll be heading out for a fun walk ☺️
In saying that, we’ve been to the vet a whole lot recently. An emergency late night vet visit, a few follow up visits with our incredible vet team (that team is growing!) and a whole lot of pills and meds. I am ever so grateful for his vet team. Our primary care vet is truly a gem (hello Dr. Bechtel! 🩷) She listens to all my crazy concerns, answers questions, goes through all my notes (you know I love detailed data, spreadsheets & documentation when it comes to dog behavior and health), I’ve never once felt rushed or dismissed, and she is genuinely so kind. We’re now working with an amazing neurologist and her brilliant team too, and they too are so patient and kind, and help explain these complicated medical issues in words even I can understand. But the entire facility staff, from front desk, the vet techs, every assistant, and even the check out person has been super kind, patient, professional and just lovely in supporting me & Barnaby. I wish everyone such a supportive experience at their vets.
So here are some photos of Barns from the last few weeks. He has a new head tilt that might be a new permanent feature (although our amazing PT person gave us some stretches that might help this! Thank you Shelah!). But Barns still is going out & enjoying his walks - they might be wobbly and even slower, but he’s back to smiling, rolling in the grass, and that tail doesn’t stop wagging! Even was a helper babysitter (he helped calm me, let’s just say I know dogs a whole lot more then human children 🫣).
So we’ve had a bit of a different looking holiday season, but one I get to spend quality time with my baby. ✨
Lastly I want to thank all my amazing clients who have given me such support, grace and have been so patient and understanding with last minute calendar changes. Excited to get back to it in the new year.
