Adopt Miss Lizzie: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12398

Hello, darling. I’m Miss Lizzie, an 11-year-old girl.

I’ve had quite the journey—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t bring me along. It wasn’t easy, but I’ve handled it with grace (as one does). Now I’m ready to find a new home where I can truly settle in and be cherished.

Let me tell you a little about myself…
I’m a beautiful chocolate point Snowshoe Siamese mix, with deep cocoa markings on my face, ears, and tail, and soft white fur dotted with the sweetest little spots. I may be a senior lady, but I still have plenty of curiosity and confidence. Since I've recently lost the home I've known since I was a kitten, I may need a little time and patience to adjust to a new environment. Once I feel comfortable, you'll find me exploring my surroundings (and you) with confidence and curiosity.

I’m a very affectionate girl with a clear idea of how I like to love and be loved. When I’m ready for attention, I’ll let you know—I’ll sit right in front of you, give you a charming little meow, and wait for you to do the right thing (which is, of course, to pet me). I especially love a good back scratch and will happily reward you with sweet nuzzles and lots of love.

While I’ve been around other cats, I’ve never really felt the need to share the spotlight. I’d be perfectly happy in a home where I can soak up your attention and be the center of your world.

If you’re looking for a companion who is graceful, expressive, and full of quiet charm—with just the right balance of independence and affection—and you're willing to give me a little time to settle into my new chapter, I might be your girl.

Love,
Miss Lizzie

Adopt Percy: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12399

Hi… I’m Percy, a 10-year-old boy.

I’ve been through a big change recently—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t take me along. I might be a little shy when we first meet, so just give me a few days to warm up—and I promise it’ll be worth it.

In a new space, I like to find a quiet spot to settle in and take things in at my own pace. But once I feel safe, my true personality comes through…

I’m a big, handsome American Shorthair with soft white fur, bright green eyes, a dashing black patch above one eye, and a little black band around my tail. I’m also a senior gentleman, which means I’ve perfected the art of being a loving, easygoing companion.

And my favorite thing in the world? Snuggling.
Truly—there is nowhere I’d rather be than curled up with my person. If you have a lap, I will happily claim it. Quiet time together, cozy evenings, just being close… that’s what makes me happiest.

I get along well with other cats and could do well either as your one and only or with a feline friend.

I’m a big boy and will need to be meal fed a wet food diet to help keep me healthy. I do tend to get a little excited about food, so it’s easiest if I’m fed separately to make sure everyone gets their fair share. I’m looking for someone who can help me stay on a healthy routine—and the rescue will be there to support you along the way.

What I’m really looking for is a calm, loving home that will give me a little time to settle in—and then enjoy all the affection I have to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company and warm your lap, I might just be your guy.

Love,Percy

Adopt Wadiya & Jerry: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12409

Wadiya (The Gentle Lap Cat)
I’ve had quite the rough start in life. I lost my sight and became FIV+ at a young age trying to survive on the harsh streets of Oman 🇴🇲, and although I had a family before, last year my owner kicked me out and it broke my heart. After being taken in by a kind local rescuer, I spent seven months waiting for my golden ticket to the U.S.

But don’t let my past—or my lack of eyes—fool you. I am a resilient, low-maintenance, and incredibly gentle boy.

If you’re thinking, "A blind cat sounds like a lot of work," let me stop you right there! It took me just two days to master my new foster home. I have zero trouble navigating, eating, using the litter box (I love the litter robot!), jumping onto the bed, or climbing up the cat tree. There’s been zero accidents, messiness or extra support needed from my fosters.

I’m a just low-key cuddle bug who loves soaking up the sun and turning into a softly purring puddle of mush on your lap when you're available.

Jerry (The Emotional Support Alien)
They call me “Little Alien" because of my uniquely lean body, angular face and out-of-this-world personality. I may be tiny, but I have a huge presence. I move at supersonic speed—one second I’m right next to you, and the next, I’m across the room making you do a double-take.

I’m almost 1 year old, but I’m a kitten at heart, with 7.5lbs of energy and fun. I love treats, toys of all kinds, investigating anything new, demanding attention as soon as you wake up, giving kisses to your hands, and purring up a storm.

But my favorite job in the world? Being Wadiya’s professional hype-man. When we first arrived, I would constantly run back and forth between him and our foster human, giving him headbutts and grooming his head as if to say, "Don’t worry, this human is safe!"

Together, we are affectionate, playful and adaptable. Especially because Jerry guides the way, you honestly don't need to do anything extra to help Wadiya thrive. We just need a kind voice to tell us we’re home and a forever person to love.

Adopt Billy: https://www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12406

Hi, I'm Billy, a 1-year-old boy.

I may not be the first one to run up and introduce myself, but give me a little time and you'll discover what a sweet, gentle boy I am.

New places, unfamiliar sounds, and sudden movements can make me a bit nervous at first. I like having a cozy, covered spot where I can retreat when I need some quiet time. Once I feel safe and settled, though, my true personality starts to shine.

I'm a very affectionate cat who loves being petted, and I'm one of those rare cats who actually enjoys belly rubs! When I'm feeling happy and relaxed, you'll hear my deep purrs rumbling away and maybe even a few of my signature little chirps. I also have a habit of flopping over and rolling around when I'm feeling especially content.

I'm a gentle soul who enjoys spending time with my people and playing with toys. My littermate Thomas and I love chasing toys, rolling around on the floor, and generally keeping an eye on what the other is doing. If one of us is getting attention, the other usually wants in on the action, too!

Because I can be a little shy at first, I'm looking for a patient home that will let me settle in at my own pace. Once I trust you, you'll be rewarded with lots of purrs, affection, and companionship.

I would love a home with another playful feline friend. Thomas and I get along wonderfully and would make a great pair, though we do not need to be adopted together. If adopted separately, I'd be happiest with another friendly cat companion to help me feel confident and keep me company.

Adopt Thomas: https://www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12406

Hi, I'm Thomas, a 1-year-old boy.

If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate sidekick, I might just be your guy.

One of my trademark moves is my happy tail shake. When I see my favorite people, my tail starts quivering with excitement before I can even help it! I love attention and will happily seek you out for pets, headbutts, and quality time together.

I'm a curious boy who likes to explore every nook and cranny of my home. I enjoy investigating what you're doing and keeping you company throughout the day. While I'm not much of a lap cat, I do love being near my people and will happily hang out beside you while you work, relax, or watch TV.

I'm also a bit of a chatterbox. I like to communicate with sweet trills, chirps, and meows, especially when I have something important to say—or when I'd like a few extra pets.

When I'm not spending time with my humans, you'll usually find me playing with toys, chasing after my littermate Billy, or indulging in one of my favorite hobbies: drinking water. In fact, I'm known for sneaking into the bathroom after a shower so I can lick the water from the bathtub!

I would love a home with another playful feline friend. Billy and I get along great and enjoy playing, exploring, and keeping each other company. While we don't need to be adopted together, we'd certainly make a wonderful pair. If adopted separately, I'd be happiest with another playful cat companion.

Adopt Aslan: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12369

Hi… I’m Aslan, a 4-year-old boy.

I came all the way from Oman because I didn’t have a chance at a loving home there. I was struggling to survive on the streets — sick, injured, and doing my best to make it through each day on my own.

Kind rescuers stepped in and changed everything. And now I’m here with Give Me Shelter — safe, loved, and ready for the next chapter of my life.

I’m blind, and when I first arrive somewhere new, I need a little time to learn the space and settle into the rhythm of my environment. A quiet, calm home would help me feel most comfortable. But once I acclimate? You’d be amazed at how confidently I navigate the world.

Honestly, most of the time people forget I’m blind. I jump on and off furniture, find my favorite sunny spots, race around with my toys, and expertly map out my surroundings. I’m incredibly smart and adaptable, and I can even recognize people just from the sound of their footsteps or voices.

I’m very chatty in the sweetest, most endearing way. I love being close to my people and feeling like part of the family. When you walk into the room, I’ll greet you with soft squeaks, gentle trills, and happy little meows that sound like tiny conversations. And if I hear people laughing or spending time together without me, I may softly call out because more than anything, I just want to be near the people I love.

I am one of the cuddliest cats you will ever meet. Truly. I want to be curled up with my people as much as possible. I’ll happily sit in your lap purring away, tuck my head under your chin, give headbutts and kisses, and gently place my paw on your face just to be close to you.

My purr motor is loud, soothing, and basically therapeutic. I’m the perfect work-from-home companion, couch potato, lap warmer, and emotional support orange boy.

I also love to play — especially with catnip mice. I’ll toss them around, entertain myself for long stretches, and I even sometimes play fetch. But at the end of the day, human laps will always be my favorite place to be.

Adopt Dorito & Cheez-it: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12403

Hi! We’re Cheez-It and Dorito — two rare orange tabby 1-year-old sisters with matching big personalities, endless curiosity, and absolutely no understanding of personal space 🧡🧡

As a bonded pair, we do everything together. We zoom through the house together, wrestle together, flop dramatically on top of each other together, and occasionally team up to investigate places we definitely shouldn’t be able to reach. We’re orange cats, after all. Being a little ridiculous is part of our charm.

Dorito (Short Hair)I’m usually the first to investigate anything new. I’m adventurous, playful, and almost always ready for action. I love chasing ribbons, gazing out the window, weaving around your legs, and dramatically flopping at your feet for attention. I’m becoming more affectionate every day and have even been known to “steal” pets from Cheez-It because I simply cannot wait my turn anymore.

Cheez-It (Long Hair)I like to take my time and observe before diving in, but once I trust you, you’ll quickly discover that I was absolutely meant to be adored. I love chin scratches, catnip, lounging on my back batting lazily at toys, and quietly keeping watch until the perfect ambush moment during playtime. I may be a little cautious at first, but once you’re accepted into my circle, congratulations — you are officially my lifelong “Pets Giver.”

Together, we’re playful, silly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. We love attention and interactive playtime, but we’ll also need a family willing to give us a little patience as we settle into a new home. Once we feel safe, our personalities really shine.

We’re looking for a home that appreciates a little joyful orange-cat energy, plenty of play sessions, and the very special bond between two sisters who truly adore each other.

Adopt Redford: www.givemesheltersf.org/mobile/animal.php?id=12394

Hi. I’m Redford, a 2-year-old boy.

I was rescued from the streets of San Francisco. When I first came inside, I took my time. About a week of staying tucked away, a few more weeks to really settle in. I like to observe. Evaluate. Make sure everything meets my standards.

But once I’m in? I’m in.

These days, I’m a full-on lap cat. Sit down, and I will claim you — no exceptions. I’ve even been known to join my humans in bed at night, which, as you can imagine, is a high honor.

I also follow my foster family around the house like a little orange shadow. Kitchen? I’m there. Bathroom? Obviously. Couch? Already waiting for you. For a former street tomcat, I’ve become surprisingly invested in togetherness.

And when I settle in on your lap? I get to work. I’m a deeply committed biscuit maker — full-force, emotional, truly dedicated kneading. It’s intense. It’s beautiful. It means I feel safe.

I’ve had quite the glow-up, too. My orange coat is rich and vibrant, my tabby stripes are bold, and my white bib sits just right — like I’m dressed for dinner at all times. And my fur? Surprisingly soft. A far cry from my street days.

I’m also very vocal. My meow is a little raspy, a little crusty — full of character — and I use it to discuss important matters. Mostly food. I care deeply about food. Every trip to the pantry is a shared experience, as far as I’m concerned. (Don’t worry — I’m still a gentleman in the mornings. No 5am wake-up calls.)

Toys? I have opinions. Sometimes I’ll engage. Sometimes I have more important things to think about. I’m a complex individual.

What I do wholeheartedly endorse: laps, sun naps, being picked up, enthusiastic biscuit-making, following my humans around the house, and long conversations about dinner.

I may take a little time to settle into a new environment, but once I feel safe, I become deeply affectionate and devoted to my people. The best things in life are worth earning — and I happen to be one of them.
