This young Labrador came to us for severe entropion (inversion of the eyelids) and had previously undergone a procedure at another clinic. The owner brought him in to see us and we performed surgery that same day due to his extreme pain and secondary corneal ulcers. Most of these severe entropion cases need a combination of eyelid procedures for optimal results best performed by a specialist. Now he is pain free and you can see his beautiful brown eyes 👀.

This dog came in to see us 3 weeks ago for a rapidly developing bleeding tumor on her eyeball. We took her to surgery that same day and removed the growth which returned as a hemangiosarcoma (tumor arising from the blood vessels). We got clean margins and now her eye is cancer free!

This young French Bulldog presented today for an emergency evaluation due to sudden onset of pain. She had previously been diagnosed with an ocular dermoid (congenital abnormal haired growth you see to the bottom left). The hairs from the dermoid began to ulcerate the cornea and caused a rapid progression to a descemetocele 😱
We got her in to surgery today to remove the dermoid and placed a corneal graft to prevent the eye from rupturing 💥

OP: One year ago today, this sweet little guy had double eneculation surgery due to cataracts, detached retinas, and finally glaucoma. The wonderful team at , including Dr. Francesca Venturi, did such a fantastic job that Dewey just looks like his eyes are closed. Poor Dewey was up to 17 eye drops per day, and had to be on steroid drops for 2 years, causing some strange moods and weight gain. I see that many of my friends and dog followers have blind dogs with eyes. I was so nervous when they mentioned this would be the best option for him. If I am being honest, I was sad for selfish reasons. Even though Dewey was already blind, I loved looking into his little eyes and seeing his cute expressions. I didn't want him to get his eyes removed because that meant he would for sure never be able to see, even though he already would not be able to with his eyes. He does have many expressions now, I just have to pay very close attention. (Continued on OP)
