Scratched around next to my potato plants to see how they were doing. Found this beauty. The plants are still growing well. I'm feeling hopeful for a excellent harvest in a month or so.

From one tray of seeds planted in 8 rows, I transplanted 208 tomato plants this week. Yaqui and Jersey Devil paste tomatoes. Big Beef, Lemon Boy, Lemon Boy Plus, and Early Girl slicers with Mountain Magic cherry tomatoes. I expect to start harvesting end of June or so.

Well everything is good so far with my farmette. No flooding in my area and only a small intrusion in one of my neighbors plot. Thank you to everyone who prayed and wished me well. It worked. Now if I can get through the next week or so I think that I’ll be fine for the rest of the year.

The Tijuana River rose enough to flood one of neighboring farms. So far mine has been spared. Rain is tapering off tonight but it will rain tomorrow. Hoping that we are spared being flooded.

Picking up a second planting of seed potatoes from the San Diego Seed Company. I ran in to my friend and mentor today, Brijette Pena Owner of San Diego Seed Company. If you live in SoCal and you are not using these locally acclimated veggies and flower seeds you are missing out. Get some, you won't be disappointed.
