Sweet Pea Grooming founder, Tessa, began grooming in 2014. Early in her grooming career she felt inspired by the cute and trendy styles she saw coming from fellow groomers in Asia. In 2017 she began this journey as “Sweet Pea Grooming” as a small, home-based business. She quickly outgrew her home salon and transitioned into a brick and mortar salon in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego. Kearny Mesa is well known for being home to tons of Asian American owned businesses and, being half Korean herself, it only made sense to open an Asian inspired pet salon here in San Diego!
Sweet Pea Grooming is not your average “dog wash” but more so a pet SPA. We offer a variety of luxurious and unique treatments for all of your pet’s needs. We are the first salon in San Diego to offer Kowa’s ANIMAL AYURVEDA herbal mask and have been lucky enough to work directly with the company to learn all that there is to know about this amazing line of products.
