Hello everyone!
As many of you have probably already seen, a new "mystery" respiratory infection is spreading through coastal states. At this time it appears to be presenting similarly to Bordatella ("kennel cough") but with far more severe symptoms. These symptoms include coughing, sneezing. nasal & eye discharge and sudden lethargy. Symptoms appear abruptly and escalate very quickly. lf your pet develops any of these symptoms, please be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. This can be a life threatening illness in 24 to 36 hours. Although we have yet to hear of any of our clients having a confirmed diagnosis of this ilness, we're aware that it's here, and just as we changed and enhanced our safety and sanitation protocols for the COVID19 pandemic, we're doing so again - for your pets as well as our own pets safety. We will continue to sanitize tables, towels, equipment and kennels between every pet and ask that if your dog is acting sick, that you keep them at home.
At this time, we're asking that anyone who visit dog parks, stayed in boarding facilities over the holiday, visits doggie cafes, play groups or other high traffic dog areas wait a minimum of ten days before bringing their pet in to see the groomer. This is to minimize the risk of infection spreading while it's asymptomatic. We are waiving cancellation fees for_ anyone rescheduling appointments for safety reasons and any pets that develop symptoms abrupty. Any pet with symptoms will need to wait a minimum of four (4) weeks to reschedule or get a clearance from their veterinarian stating they're non-contagious.
Your pet's safety and wellbeing is our highest priority We recognize that this is a scary time and are dedicated to making our salon as safe as possible.
Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
