Keep your pup busy and happy with a frozen lick mat. ❄️🐶

Layer with xylitol-free peanut butter, plain greek yogurt, banana, or kibble, freeze for 2–4 hours and watch them work for their treat.

This provides mental stimulation, slower eating, stress relief, and teething help—all in one tasty activity!

Did you know even sibling dogs need personal training time? Learning separately first builds better focus and teamwork later!

Siblings love to play—but training first helps them know when it’s time to focus. Short, consistent sessions make learning fun for both.

Want a pull-free walk? Try these tips 👇

* The “Stop and Wait” Method: When your dog pulls, stop walking immediately. Wait until they turn back, create slack in the leash, or stop pulling before moving again.

* Reward loose leash moments: Carry high value treats with you and reward your dog for staying close or checking in.

* Change Directions (U-Turns): Keep your walk dynamic by switching up the path you take.  If your pup pulls out, try turning and walking the other way for a while. This prompts your pup to hang back closer to your side- keeping you in their peripheral area in order to track your unpredictable movements more easily.

* Use a longer leash: A loose leash does have to be a short one.  Give your pup more room to roam and it may drastically decrease the leash tension

* Walk Faster: Larger dogs walk faster than the average human.  Slowing down their natural gait can be awkward and uncomfortable.  Increase your speed and match their energy.

A few simple tips to make your walks more effective: 🐾

• Start the walk calm — don’t leave the house in a rush or excitement.

• Reward loose leash moments – dont  just correct pulling.

• Change direction to keep your dog engaged with you.

• Advocate for your dog — not every dog or person needs to say hi to them.

• Take breaks for sniffs — not every walk needs to be constant momentum.

Structured walks build better behavior, confidence, and connection over time.

5 tips for building engagement with your dog 👇

Building engagement is about teaching your dog that you are the most valuable and relevant thing in their environment—even with distractions around.

1. Reward the check-in
Anytime your dog chooses to look at you on their own, mark and reward it. This teaches them that engaging with you pays off, not just following commands.

2. Be more interesting than the environment
Use movement, excitement, and your tone of voice. Change directions, jog a few steps, or get playful—make them want to pay attention to you.

3. Keep sessions short and intentional
Frequent, short sessions keep your dog mentally fresh and prevent disengagement.

4. Incorporate engagement into daily routines
Ask for eye contact before meals, going out the door, or starting a walk. These small moments add up.

5. Change direction on walks
If your dog gets fixated or pulls, calmly change direction. This encourages them to pay attention to your movement and stay connected.
