We come to you with a brand new (but has been around the block) kitty named Bruno🤍

Bruno was spotted outside in a tree over 1 year ago (last picture), but was not seen again until Thanksgiving! Thankfully the most wonderful, amazing, perfect, kind, thoughtful, selfless human did not overlook him as i’m sure so many others did. Thank you for caring 🫶🏼.

Nan took every chance she could to get Bruno to trust her. With a whole lot of patience and work, Bruno did start to trust her.. but only when her dog was around😂 After weeks and weeks, he started rolling around just for her. He started to truly see the bond they were creating.

We did what we could at the time, which was just give some good flea medication, some advice and patiently wait until Nan could gain Bruno’s trust enough to get him in a carrier. He wanted NOTHING to do with two different types of traps.

Well after 2 months, we finally got him. He is in a foster home and slowly slowly slowly adjusting. We couldn’t be more thankful for our sweet foster who has all the patience in the world and for Nan to help him through this process. She visits him often and he immediately comes out from hiding and is a full time employee at the biscuit factory.

We’re so in love with Bruno. As you can see, he is completely just a medical disaster. Every life is worth saving. Luckily, we have a sponsor for him and they have been a major reason why he will have a second chance. There is so much work to do, but we will keep you all along as we continue this journey with Bruno.

Have you been following Toast’s story?? WELL I HAVE😭
Today she had a lil meet and greet and you bet I went and hung out with her🖤🖤🖤 She is the sweetest, goofiest, funniest, 3 legged girl out there! She played non stop with her wand toy and even had to take a minute to catch her breath😂 I couldn’t get a worthy photo because she was zooming around but these will do🥰

A ginormous shout out and thank you to for saving the sweetest soul and for continuously doing amazing things🐈‍⬛🍞

Hopefully I get to see Toast again, but I wish her the best of luck in her surgery tomorrow!!! If you haven’t heard of her story, check out all of their posts and you’ll immediately fall in love🖤 and probably sob your eyes out.

GUESS WHAT!
We’re back with an incredibly amazing offer to match $5,000 from our sweet sweet friends, & 🤍

If we can raise the $5,000 and get a $5,000 donation match, we can pay all of Sponge Cakes and Carrot Cakes FIP treatment! This would help us exponentially!!!! Treating two kittens for FIP at the same time during our worst year has been hard.

The second two pictures are of Sponge Cake at the lounge now and when she was at the lounge as a baby baby kitten.
She has finally returned after this last round of blood work has cleared her🙌🏻 Carrot Cake is still in treatment at his foster but doing very well!

We have had so much success with this fundraiser and want to continue to set us up for this year! We want to rescue more, take in more medical cases, spay and neuter more cats and kittens! We can with your help. Please consider donating to help us get to $5,000 and be able to match that. $10,000 is insane to think about but it is right there😭

All of us are blown away by the support you have shown us in the last 48 hours. The monetary donations are unbelievable. The amount of generosity and care is insurmountable.

There are no other words. We have felt your love for the work we do and the cats we help. Because of all of you, we continue and will not give up.

Seeing so many of you comment about your adopted kitties and the amount of updates we got in our messages has been incredible.

This is going to be an extremely transparent and raw post.

This was the worst year financially we have ever had. We had a dramatic decrease in revenue and if this continues, we will be forced to close our doors in 1 year. Our donations alone were $60,000 less than last year. We are at a loss for what has caused any of this.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit cat rescue .. not a business, not a cat cafe. We are doing everything we can to stay afloat so we can continue our life saving work and doing what we love. But at this point, we are begging for your help. This could be financial (please), your time by volunteering, helping us with laundry, telling a friend, sponsoring a kitty, donating from our wish list, anything you can think of!

We just had our 5 year anniversary and cannot bear to think this could be our last. We’re going to add a fundraiser to this post as a last ditch effort before the year is over. Our supplies and medical bills are at an all time high, please help us continue to save precious lives.

Another workday at the lounge ✔️

Did you know that your admission covers the entire day? One admission gets you in with all of our awesome cats and kittens from 12-6p!

After all the holiday adoptions, we are slowly bringing in a bunch of kittens, teens and adults. We had 4 HUGE adoptions today and we can’t wait for you all to meet our new kitties🤍

Moose tried to steal our staff white elephant gifts😹 To be fair there was a catnip plant in one of the bags!

The lounge will be closed tomorrow as usual, and Tuesday December 24th for the holiday🎅🏼🐈‍⬛ We hope you all remember and tell your loved ones that cats are NOT gifts!!!
Gift cards do exist and a cat is a 15+ year commitment.

I also would like the add that the catnip plant was VERY unjustly stolen from me (nicole) and I will not recover. Justice for Nicole👩🏼‍⚖️

IT HAPPENED AGAIN🎉🎉🎉
Wasabi was adopted! One of our most “unadoptable” and long term residents has been adopted. This was an intensely bitter sweet moment.

We have had Wasabi for 1 year and 3 months. She did have a vacation of about 1 month when she was adopted last year and then returned because her owner was moving 🥹

Wasabi was an extremely strange case. Her story is complicated. We got a call from a veterinarian asking for help for a previous clients cat. She had had a tumor on her neck for over a year and the owner didn’t want to remove it. Well the tumor was scratched open. The kitty needed to see a vet. The owner tried to stuff her into a carrier (we can only assume how that went) The tumor got caught somehow and the cat turned and bit… well yeah, we’d bite someone too if that happened!
So, the owner took her to the vet and asked to have her euthanized. Thank goodness, the vet didn’t let this happen and took the kitty from the woman.

This is when she called us. Her tumor was removed, she wore a sweater for quite some time and she did really well in the lounge. Her name previously was Luna but once she felt better it was changed to Wasabi because of her spiciness.

As time went on she became extremely overstimulated by the other cats and humans in the lounge. This was causing her to lash out at the other kitties. She wanted love from humans but as soon as they’d go to pet her, she’d react negatively. This can be a stressful environment, especially when overstimulation is involved. Plusssss she hates cats🥹

We knew how she was outside of the lounge but no one else did and this was hard for everyone involved. We hated having her in a crate but we had no other choice. She got time out every day and would run all around the foyer. We played games with her, gave her treat puzzles and she would run back in her crate and wait for wet food. We knew it would just take time before the right people came around and would love Wasabi for who she is.

WELL THAT DAY WAS TODAY😭🥳 We can’t wait to get the update photos of Wasabi being a lap cat and soaking up all the love minus the overstim! Thank you to all who came and loved her as much as we did🤍
