‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through ChinChic
All the chinnies were stirring, giving their presents a peek.
The chin socks were hung by the Ferret Nation with care,
In hope Santy Paws soon would be there.
The dog and the cats were nestled up in my bed,
While visions of sweet treats danced in their heads.
With me in my sweatpants, Christmas music on high,
I had finished my wrapping, ending all with a sigh.
When out on my patio I heard a loud pop,
I sprang from the couch with a quick little hop.
As I ran to the door, arms flailing around,
I wondered out loud if it were something profound.
My caged pigeons were cooing, quite unusual at night,
And I suddenly wondered, was it a raccoon I must fight?
When what did I see up on top of some bins?
But a miniature chin wheel with five tiny chins.
I knew in a minute it was Ole Santy Paws,
That furry little man who defied all the laws.
He did what he wanted, no matter the cost,
Not following directions, didn’t care if he’s lost.
He popcorned and barked and called them by name;
“Now Tibby Now Handbag! Now, Autumn and Ella!
You too little Adrien you cute three-legged fella."
From the top on the bins to the top of the palm,
Now spin away! Spin away! No time for calm.
With a sleigh full of apple sticks, even rosehips.
Santy Paws squeeked quite loud, and was gone in a blip.
But I heard him exclaim, as he spun out of sight,
"Happy Chinmas to all, and to all a good-night."
