How to train a dog to use a p*e pad?

Step 1: When your dog looks as though she is about to p*e or p**p, say “potty” (or whatever word you choose) and take her quickly to her pad. Give her lots of praise and a small treat when she “does her business” there.

Step 2: No punishment. If your dog has an accident, simply take her quickly to her pad. No yelling, all that will do is teach her to p**p and p*e when you are not around.

Step 3: Set up her “alone” room. When you can’t watch her, leave her in a small bathroom with pads covering the entire floor: leave her some water, toys and some bedding to lie on. Do this for 2-3 days, then take away one of the pads (leaving all the others). In two more days, take another pad away. The idea is to wean your dog off of each pad until there is only one left in the room. If she p*es outside of the remaining pads, put the rest back and start over.

Tips: Do not allow her free access to the house yet, as that will only result in making housetraining mistakes. If she p*es or p**ps in the wrong areas, she will return to those areas more and more.

There are several factors to consider before you choose a dog:

🐶Size: Remember that some small dogs are delicate and vulnerable. Also, little dogs can be much more sensitive to colder temperatures, so be ready to help keep them warm. Very large dogs need a bit more space to move around.

🐶Physical Maintenance: Your dog’s appearance has a lot to do with his maintenance needs. All dogs need basic grooming, but certain types need more based on the type of hair coat. If you get a dog with hair that keeps growing, then advanced routine grooming is essential. Most short-haired, smooth-coated dogs are major shedders, so be prepared to do some extra cleaning up.

How do you settle a dog's upset stomach?

Dog vomiting may happen for several reasons. It could be that your dog ate more than they could handle or ate too fast, or your dog could have swallowed something toxic, or it may be a sign of a serious illness, which could require a visit to see your vet.

To care for your dog's upset stomach, give your dog a bland, easily digestible food such as cooked white rice mixed with boiled white meat chicken (no bones or skin) is ideal, but you can also use a small portion of your dog's regular diet. If your dog does not eat, pick up the meal and try again a few hours later.

Trust me, I didn't mean to p*e on your bed. My parents tried so many p*e pads, and they either leak to the floor after several p*es (I like to p*e in the same corner but sometimes my parents just don't have time to change the p*e pads), or they stink so bad that I just don't want to p*e on it. Who likes to p*e in a stinking bathroom?

Trust me, I didn't mean to p*e on your bed.
