The Buckoes Summer Day Camp was run from three locations starting the 1950s at the Del Mar Mesa ranch location. The camp was originally purchased from Harry Anderson around 1959 by Dr. David Kenney a local veterinarian. The Buckoes camp ran at the Del Mar Mesa location up to 1959, when the camp was moved down into the Carmel Valley to the Steven's Ranch location comprising of 25 acres. Additional

horses were purchased, a new pool installed and a shooting range and craft shack where all built. The camp ran at the Carmel Valley location between 1962 to 1964, when the camp was moved to the old Three Arrows Camp in Sorrento Valley location.
