Welcome Maddie!

This 7 month old cutie was adopted by her family when she was just a baby, and now she’s here to work on building some confidence and learning the skills she needs to take on the world a little more comfortably.

Maddie is 25% Chihuahua and 75% supermutt, which basically means she’s got a little bit of everything packed into one tiny, adorable body. Right now she’s more on the nervous side, but that’s okay. Confidence is something we can build.

Our goals with Maddie are helping her feel more secure out and about so she can actually enjoy going places with her family, and dialing in her obedience so walks with her housemate are a lot more manageable.

We’ll be focusing on building her up through positive experiences, clear communication, and helping her understand the world isn’t such a scary place.
Excited to see this girl come out of her shell šŸ’›

Fetch isn’t just throwing a ball over and over.

It’s a game… and you should play it like one.

Build anticipation before you throw it.

Mix it up.
Throw it far, throw it short.
Toss it to them.
Bounce it off the ground.

Make it unpredictable. Make it exciting.

That’s how you turn a simple game of fetch into something your dog is obsessed with… and something that actually builds engagement with you.

Don’t be the person who tosses the ball, scrolls their phone, and barely looks up when their dog comes back. That’s not play… that’s just going through the motions.

Be present.
Be fun.
Actually play with your dog.

Apollo just joined the crew and his little "sploot" is just the cutest!

This 7 month old Cockapoo is here to work on basic obedience and off leash recall so his family can keep bringing him along on all their adventures… just without the ā€œpulling like a freight trainā€ and wanting to say "hi" to everyone/dog part šŸ˜…

His family has already done a great job with him. He’s a sweet, easy guy who knows how to just hang out and be part of the day without causing chaos.

The real goal? Getting him reliable enough to safely frolic with his neighborhood crew at the park… aka the Dog Mafia (yes, that is actually what they call themselves and honestly, iconic).

We’ll be working on:
• Loose leash walking
• Recall (coming back when called… every time)
• General obedience and manners out in the real world

So he can keep being the good boy he already is… just with a little more freedom and reliability.

Stay tuned for Apollo’s progress!

✨ Welcome Cosmo! ✨
Mr. Cosmo is a husky of sorts and a total gentle giant. It’s easy to see why his owners fell in love with him. He was adopted from Paws for Life Animal Rescue in LA about two(ish) months ago.

Early on, Cosmo was nervous about many things inside the home, chairs moving, refrigerator opening, and especially people entering. Over time, that uncertainty turned into barking when visitors arrived, settling briefly, then barking again as soon as they moved. Outside on walks he felt a bit better, but was still wary of people. His owners also discovered pretty quickly that leaving him alone wasn’t an option, as he would bark and howl nonstop, and getting him into the crate was a challenge. Classic husky separation anxiety.

Cosmo is here to build confidence, both inside the home and out in the world, and to develop off-leash skills so he can safely enjoy what he was made for: running, exploring, and eventually cruising along the beach with his people. I’m excited to help this sweet boy feel more comfortable and confident in his skin. šŸ’™

Mistakes are all part of the learning process. It's important that we stay encouraging. He's made an honest mistake (heel position slightly off), I ask him to fix it while applying negative reinforcement with the leash and ecollar. Note his attitude. He's a happy guy. Life isn't all rainbows and unicorns, and sometimes our dogs aren't going to look ecstatic about doing the things we ask of them. However, I always strive to have my board and train dogs enjoy the things I'm asking of them.

I also can't get over those cute freaking nose twitches he does when he looks up šŸ„¹šŸ˜

Welcome Poppy!

Poppy is here to finish out her puppy program, and it’s wild how much she’s grown since the last time I saw her. She’s officially out of the tiny-puppy stage and ready to keep building on her training.

Like many Labs, Poppy really loves her food, and because of that she’s carrying a little extra weight right now. How can you not give in to that cute face? She'll definitely be on a little bit of a diet while she's here though šŸ˜‰.

So excited to have this sweet girl back and see how much she accomplishes during this next phase.

Welcome Jordie!

If this guy looks familiar, it’s because he’s Cricket’s brother! Jordie came all the way from LA to train with me, and this case is a really cool one.

Jordie’s brothers, sisters, and mama were all adopted, and the families have stayed in touch, and some meet up about once a year. Some stayed in California, others are all the way on the East Coast. What’s wild? Nearly the entire litter struggles with similar anxiety and reactivity issues (hello, genetics). Getting to work with littermates like this is such a unique opportunity.

I trained Cricket back in January 2025, and he and his owners had so much success that they spread the word. Jordie’s family decided it was time to give training another shot. Jordie has worked with several trainers already, some things helped, but his reactivity to people and dogs persisted.

Another interesting layer: I’ve also been in contact with Cricket & Jordie’s mama’s owner, and yep… very similar temperament across the board. Genetics doing genetic things.

Jordie is 4.5 years old, and here’s what his family has been dealing with:

• Reactivity toward kids
• Eye contact from strangers setting him off
• Bikes, scooters, skateboards
• Car stress
• Hyper dogs on the walk cause him to blow up
• Barking at people outside the front door
• Anyone entering the home, even after staying for days
• People appearing suddenly or around corners

The goals are clear:
Figure out where this reactivity stems from, build Jordie’s confidence, and help him learn that the world isn’t nearly as scary as it feels right now.

Let’s get to work, dude.

Welcome Maverick!

Maverick was adopted by his family in June after being found as a stray in Los Angeles. When he was rescued, he had a burn mark on his back, possibly from the wildfires, though no one can say for sure.

Maverick has shown some fear-based and territorial behavior, especially in tight or stressful environments. His family says he's anxious, under-socialized, and can become reactive when overwhelmed. His history includes a few ā€œbite and holdā€ incidents with other dogs, but no damage actually done.

During his time here, we’ll focus on uncovering what’s driving those reactions, helping him learn to trust new people and dogs, and building his confidence.

He’s already proven to be a resilient dog with a lot of heart. Welcome to the Inclusion K9 family, Maverick — your new chapter starts here. šŸ’š

Welcome Moose!
Moose is a 5-month-old Mal mix who was recently rescued from the shelter by his amazing family. From day one, they’ve made it a priority to set him up for success, and what better way to do that than investing in training early on.

Moose is joining our Puppy Program (along with his emotional support frog) to build a strong foundation, learn structure, and develop good habits that will last a lifetime. Early training isn’t just about obedience it’s about creating clarity, confidence, and trust between dog and human.

We’re excited to watch this boy grow into a well-rounded, happy pup! šŸ’ŖšŸ¶
