Our Night of the Horse Performance

This weekend has been a great adventure. We enjoyed making new friends and rooting for all the competitors. Everyone works so hard to get these wild horses trained and adoptable, every one of them is impressive. Making it to one of these competitions is no easy feat.

We added on one extra class yesterday evening that was part of the open show, a speed trail challenge. We did it in hand against people riding. We ran as fast as we could 😂 We came in 3rd! It was a fun class and we definitely had a blast.

We left this morning with mixed feelings. We are beyond happy how everything worked out perfectly, but also sad this adventure has come to an end.

We met up with Grimms new parents on the way down, at a Home Depot so we could switch him into their trailer. As always he was rockstar to unload and jumped right into the next trailer. This horse has a bright future ahead of him, we can't wait to see him make his mark in the world!

Awards are done! We placed 6th in freestyle. 2nd overall in adult horse and 1st overall adult horse rookie. Plus the 2nds from yesterday. We couldn't be happier!

Grimm deserves a pile of cookies for all his hard work too!

We had such a great day. All the competitors have been fantastic, we were lucky enough to get two 2nds! We are so proud of Grimm and how well he has handled the show environment. He has really given us his all.

This is the last day we have with Grimm before our TIP competition. We leave at 4am tomorrow for our long drive up to Sacramento. We really appreciate everyone following along on our journey together.

Grimm has gone from a terrified feral horse to a sweet sweet partner. I really think he will be able to go in any direction with the right training. He is willing and loving.
