About me:
I have been a huge animal lover since a very young age and grew up having many different animals, including: cats, rescued feral cats/kittens, dogs, chickens, quails, turkeys, tortoises, goats, pigs, lambs, and various types of birds. I currently have a cat, and a dog. My career in the veterinary field started in 2006 it has included working as lead technician in day practice, emergency
and specialty hospitals. I focused heavily within the surgery department at each hospital. I have extensive experience in medication administration and surgical recovery. This is where I also gained experience with medical grooms. I recently managed a grooming salon where I focused on working with the seniors, medically fragile, highly anxious dogs, cats and overall the more sensitive animal population. I’ve been a volunteer for an animal shelter for 17yrs. I foster pregnant dogs/ cats, puppies/kittens, surgical recoveries, and medical cases. I’m super passionate about giving animals a head start in life with love, trust, patience, basic obedience, socialization, guidance, and understanding. I’ve been a pet sitter for 17yrs+. I throughly enjoy being able to help fellow pet owners care for their pets. Whether they work full time, need to run out of town, go on vacation, have an emergency, their pet is recovering from surgery, or their pet was diagnosed with a serious illness needing daily treatments. I understand that the animal hospital and car rides to get those treatments can be a very scary experience for some pets. I love being able to provide care for pets in their own environment, where they are most comfortable.
