Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to highlight the history, experiences, and achievements of those in the disabled community. Today is National Pet Fire Safety Day! Unfortunately, 500,000 pets are affected by house fires every year, so today we would like to share some tips to keep your fur baby safe💚

Keep your pets away from trouble: Make sure to blow out any candles before leaving home, block off access to the kitchen or stove k***s, and keep any and all wires out of chewing distance
Have a rescue plan in place: It is essential to have a fire escape plan that includes pets, ensuring that they are accounted for during evacuation. Discuss with your family who will be in charge of rescuing your pet in the event of a fire. When you are not home, keep your pets near an exit/entry point and keep leashes by the door.
