Our field services include rescuing lost and injured pets, animal cruelty investigations, disaster assistance, and outreach to the community. Stella is a three-year-old black and tan Shepherd mix with a big, happy smile and the most beautiful eyes. She’s playful and loves to run around, but she’s just as quick to nuzzle up against you for affection.
 
Stella adores belly rubs, head scratches, and will happily soak up all the love you’re ready to give.

We acknowledge and appreciate everyone’s concern for Cooper. 
 
He is currently completing a rabies quarantine period, which will end on September 3, following a reported bite. He has been carefully assessed throughout this process and remains in good health. Starting tomorrow, he will be available for rescue group placement.

The Devore Animal Shelter will open at 10:00 a.m. and rescue group placements will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

San Bernardino County Animal Care is celebrating a milestone. Since launching our foster program for Devore and Big Bear Animal Shelters in June 2025, over 115 animals have been given a second chance thanks to our foster heroes.
 
A huge thank you to our incredible staff, dedicated rescue partners, and compassionate foster parents for working tirelessly behind the scenes. Your commitment is transforming lives and creating brighter futures for pets and families across our community.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity—available while supplies last—for residents in the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County!

Please enter your address in our service area map at animalcare.sbcounty.gov/serviceareas/ (link in bio) to see if your pet qualifies.

During the event, please bring a photo ID to verify your residency. If your photo ID isn’t current, a recent utility bill can also be used as proof of residence.

Please ensure dogs are kept on a leash and cats are brought in individual carriers.

Services Offered:
• Free pet microchipping sponsored by Animals aRe First Fund (ARFF)
• Pet ownership resources
• Dog licensing: To qualify for the discounted licensing price, you will need to bring proof of your pet’s spay/neuter. Additionally, proof of a previous rabies vaccine is required to receive a license. If your pet does not have proof of a rabies vaccine, they may receive the vaccine at the event before obtaining the license.
• Vaccinations: $10 each (FVRCP, Rabies, Bordetella, DA2PP, Leptospirosis). If you would like to receive a 3-year rabies vaccine instead of a 1-year vaccine, you must provide proof of the previous rabies vaccination.

Mercury is a three-year-old Siberian Husky with a sparkling personality to match her stunning looks. She’s full of energy and loves chasing toys, splashing in the water, and enjoying long walks.

Meet Adam! 🐾

Adam is a gorgeous three-year-old Husky with striking eyes and a heart full of love. He’s an affectionate pup who enjoys cuddles, back scratches, and spending time with people.

Adam also loves splashing around in the water and going for walks—he’s great on the leash! He’s even familiar with a few basic commands like “sit” and “lie down.”
