Dear San Bernardino community,
Over 5 years ago we opened the first ever pet resource center in San Bernardino in order to provide pet food, spay and neuter and other resources to you and your pets. We have served over 4,000 individuals and families through our pet pantry (some every month and some only when needed) and we were able to bring a monthly mobile spay and neuter clinic to our facility and fix thousands of dogs and cats.
Many of you may, or may not, know that there is a big push to revitalize the San Bernardino International Airport, which is where we are located. Unfortunately, our organization is not included in those plans. There will not be a pet food distribution this month. We will be closing the doors to our facility on Friday, June 30th.
We would like to thank the Inland Valley Development Agency for allowing us to come in and serve the pet loving community these last 5 years. A huge thank you to all of those who donated and volunteered, for there would not have been a pet pantry or mobile clinics without all of you.
Just to be clear: Our organization is NOT closing - just our facility. We do not have another location to move to at this time. We will be taking a hiatus in order to regroup and to determine what the future of Daisy’s Hope looks like. We will continue to assist the community with spay and neuter, TNR and emergency vet bills at our local partner vet (as funds allow).
We will miss seeing many of you and your beloved pets every month. We will be open one last day, next Wednesday from 10:30-2:30, if you want to stop by and see us, pick up some engraved dog tags for your pups or shop to support our continued mission to provide spay and neuter for the community.
