California Husky Rescue Network Inc,

California Husky Rescue Network Inc, CHRN instagram http://Instagram.com/CaliforniaHuskyRescuenetwork What is this page? The local rescues cannot keep up with the flow.

This page was created by husky rescue and transport volunteers to network huskies in California shelters. There is a minimum of at least 70 huskies in CA shelters at all times. How do I adopt one of the huskies? Depending on the shelter and dog, it's as simple as going to the shelter and adopting the dog. Each thread gives information about the dog. Please only mention that you're adopting the dog

if you're SERIOUS. Otherwise, networkers move on and that dog will die without a serious commitment to rescue or adopt. Fees at shelters range from $50-150 dollars and most require in-person adoptions. Some will allow phone adoptions but you will need to secure help collecting and transporting that dog at your own cost. I can't adopt, how can I help? You can help by sharing these dogs, flagging puppy ads on CA area craigslist listings, donating to reputable 501c3 husky rescues and urging your local husky rescue to contact CHRN to become a trusted out of state husky rescue partner. Message us through this page to find out more.

Sadly we are being bombarded with people wanting to surrender their huskies. We cannot keep up with all of this. Please do not get a dog if you cannot take proper care of him/her for it’s natural life

“My family brought me home, all cradled in their arms. They cuddled me and smiled at me and said I was full of charm. They played with me and laughed with me and showered me with toys. I sure did love my family, especially the little girls and boys.”

“The children loved to feed me; they gave me special treats. They even let me sleep with them – all snuggled in the sheets. I used to go for walks, often several times a day. They even fought to hold the leash, I’m very proud to say.”

“These are the things I’ll not forget – a cherished memory. Now that I’m in the shelter – without my family. They used to laugh and praise me when I played with that old shoe. But I didn’t know the difference between the old one and the new.”

“The kids and I would grab a rag, for hours we would tug. So I thought I did the right thing when I chewed the bedroom rug. They said that I was out of control, and would have to live outside. This I didn’t understand, although I tried and tried.”

“The walks stopped, one by one, they said they hadn’t time. I wish that I could change things; I wish I knew my crime. My life became so lonely in the backyard, on a chain. I barked and barked all day long to keep from going insane.”

“So they brought me to the shelter but were embarrassed to say why. They said I caused an allergy, and then they each kissed me goodbye. If I’d only had some training when I was a little pup, I wouldn’t have been so hard to handle when I was all grown up.”

“‘You only have one day left, I heard the worker say. Does that mean I have a second chance? Do I go home today?”

🌟 2yr old Gypsy is likely living her last hours. She is Red Listed for “killing another animal”. Was it a mouse? A skunk? A rat? We don’t know. What we do know is that she’s gorgeous, spayed, friendly, 2yrs old, and she wants to live. 26 dogs are about to lose their lives & Gypsy is one of them. RIVERSIDE, CA

NOTE: This dog is not in our care, we are not affiliated with the shelter in any way. We post updates as we receive them, for questions/concerns please contact the shelter directly.
