It's getting warmer by the day, so it is important to be mindful on days you are out and about with your best friend!
Hyperthermia (overheating) comes on quickly and is a medical emergency. The number one cause of hyperthermia in dogs is being left in a car on a hot day (on an 85° day, it only takes TEN minutes for the interior of a car to reach 102°) but it is not the only way a pet can overheat!
