Chica in the water treadmill
One of the things I started with Chica to help keep her muscles strong in her hind end is the water treadmill. She actually seems to enjoy the warm water (and all the treats she gets while in there :) ), and I think it's helping to build back a little of the muscles that she's losing due to age. It's worth a look for your older dog. Several vets in the area offer it, but we go to North Star Animal Center. Chica's favorite trainer, Karen Pearce Training at North Star Animal Center runs the treadmill, so check it out! ~ Diana
